Dark Souls: Remastered is coming to the Nintendo Switch and should provide owners of the system with plenty of challenge as they defeat the hordes of enemies. One criticism the original was that the Blighttown area was notoriously choppy with regards to the framerate, but recent footage of the remastered version shows that this has been fixed. The footage you can see below was captured from the Nintendo Switch in docked mode so it’s not clear how that particular area will perform in handheld mode. We shall have to wait and see in May.

You can’t see shit on a video filmed like that with constant 29,97fps, its good that people say its runs better than the original but i still wait for DigitalFoundry’s performance test.

THE GAMES 30 FPS SO HOW WOULD A 30 FPS VIDEO STOP YOU SEEING THAT
AND ISNT WHAT YOU SAID SIMPLY POINTING OUT YOU NEED DIGITAL FIUNDRY TO TELL YOU THE FPS AS YOU CANNOT SEE IT POINT BEING IF THATS THE CASE IT DOESNT MATTER

Sad that you need them to tell you whether something runs better. You should be able to tell if it matters to you that much

Gaming is at sad state, 99% of the DF subscribers could not tell any performance issues unless DF tells them there is.

In the old gameplay whenever ur looking around at the bottom of Blighttown u culd notice mini-stutters as u pan the camera. Even from this vid I culd tell its much smoother but I always like an analysis vid of performance to really know if its stable 30fps on Switch. But anyways this is a muuuch better performance so im happy either way if its stable or not.

PROMISING. I’m excited to play through this game a third time. I love Dark Souls and if this area is smoother than its already an improvement. I’ve only played an unpatched 360 version and had no access to its online features or DLC so it’ll be cool to try those also this next play through.

It’s hard to see by someone who recorded it with a camera

Never played dark souls so I’m excited. Closest I’ve played was bloodborne for about half an hour
