It was only of matter of time, but Splatoon 2’s next Splatfest has been announced. This Splatfest will be for Europe and North America, and it will take place on September 21st at 9pm Pacific Time, or September 22nd at Midnight Eastern Time. As for the theme, it is Retro Vs. Modern. This will be the first Splatfest to take place after the game’s update to version 4.0.0, so the event will have new rules. This Splatfest will also be the first to require a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, as the service launches a few days before the Splatfest begins. The Splatfest announcement tweet can be seen down below.
The next #Splatoon2 #Splatfest starts 9/21 at 9pm PT! What’s your style: Retro or Modern? This will be the first Splatfest to feature the updated rules, so grab your top hat or get an angular haircut and get ready!

Hey a Splatfest that I actually am conflicted about! Nice
Retro all the way
Gotta go Retro- today’s youth, music, pastimes, and dares suck! Back in my day, we ate cinnamon powder, not Tide Pods!
That was my Cranky Kong moment for today.
i for one think the paid online is bullshit especially the cloud saves going without warning and they STILL praise that smartphone app thinking it’s a good idea that shit may work in japan but not the rest of the world this is starting to make me think of jumping ship and just go to pc gaming or better yet BOOKS! yes Books no pid online no restrictions and no stupid rating system.
retro because pearl almost always wins
Retro style is cooler. No one is bold enough these days.
