Yacht Club Games have shared some disappointing news this afternoon for Shovel Knight fans as the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove physical edition, the upcoming update, and the amiibo three-pack have suffered a slight delay. It was all meant to come together on the 9th of April but the company now says it has been delayed for several months. The reason for the delay is that Yacht Club Games wanted to make sure that everything can be released “for a polished and complete finale”. The amiibo were delayed because the update providing amiibo support is connected to the upcoming Shovel Knight: King of Cards campaign. The company will announce a date when they feel confident they can deliver on it.
Oh no!!
Thank you for your comment.

I don’t know what’s lamer, the fact your comment reeks of sarcasm or the fact you have to thumbs up your own comment.
Every time we get a news from Nintendo that just rains on our parade, there’s always the comment section to sometimes put a smile in our face.
Moving on, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is a fantastic side-scrolling platformer. I’m willing to wait. This gives me time to free my backlog of space for it.
@Chrisopther James, you sound jelly. You ain’t gonna manipulate me away from the truth. People love me here, the only sad and jealous dude is you here.
Your relationship with your parents is lame 😘
@Ogreatgames.com Thank you, your comments are always very uplifting.
They have a good track record for releasing fun products so I’m betting this will be worth the wait.
Shame. Been looking forward to king of cards and the amiibo for ages
Could anyone tell me if there doing an update for the wii U version for please?
Yes, they are, all versions of Shovel Knight are updated.
When is several months considered a slight delay?
People like collecting amiibo because they look cool too. I don’t really see a good reason to delay the amiibo
Because you have to adjust a full factory in china and pre order in batches of millions. It’s pretty crazy investment and off course the Nintendo ones go first.
I like the amiibo on the left the most, but will not buy because I don’t like this game. First level was good but later on I was like meh, Tropical freeze is way better in 2D platform game
Let’s put the pages into the sun light and see the truth
trop freeze too easy
That’s the only word I hear these days. Delay. Isn’t this the 3rd time they’ve delayed this? I mean, I understand, but they could at least set realistic goals as to not get the fans’ hoped up…
hopes whoops
Not again!
Having the most up-to-date complete version of this marvelous game and its expansions with hopefully very little if any need for additional patches after release, sounds like a great reason to delay. I wish more companies were like this.
Oof I know people who’ve had that 3 pack on preorder for over a year now
