Sensor Tower is reporting that Pokemon GO has amassed a staggering $2.5 Billion in revenue since the mobile game’s launch back in the summer of 2017. Spending on the mobile game has increased compared to the first quarter of 2018. The first quarter of 2019 saw user spending in the game up by 40% which is quite impressive! Pokemon GO is most popular in the United States, followed by Japan, and then Germany in third.
This is actually one of the only mobile games I accept, as it uses the abilities of your phone in a way that positively affects gameplay (you know, GPS and stuff). But besides this game, the mobile gaming industry can just die already.
