Xenoblade Chronicles Nintendo Direct Mini graphics comparison


We finally found out the official release date for the long-awaited Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition during the Nintendo Direct Mini and it will be heading to the Nintendo Switch system on 29th May. The team at GameXplain have been hard at work putting together a graphical comparison video between the Wii original vs. the new Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The game looks to be running on the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 engine and looks fabulous with a complete art style change. Check it out below.

  1. 👎 The original Xenoblade Chronicles was the only entry whose art style I could live with. Now they butchered it too and it looks like a generic weirdo anime game.

      1. well I mean the characters were anime lookin back then but they culdnt get it the way they wanted it to, due to hardware limitations and muuuuuuuch smaller budget at the time.

        “Generic” tht usually only implies if the designs are uninspired and low effort, which they arent.
        “Weirdo anime” like I said earlier, it was ALWAYS anime styled designs.

        If anything, his design in Xenoblade 2 was waayyy too soft and actually meh.
        Compares original artwork, SMash 4 and Ultimate artwork, XC2 and XCD artwork.
