While the virus is the worst thing that could have possibly happened to a lot of us in 2020, it just might be the best thing that could have happened for a game like Animal Crossing. An escape and a virtual life you can have while you can’t live a normal life is just the kind of thing that Animal Crossing is.
That’s more sales than Animal Crossing GCN’s lifetime sales.
AC is an absolute beast. Imagine the hardware numbers if supplies weren’t constrained.
I don’t know if it’s due to the constant fear of the coronavirus or what, but I just haven’t been able to enjoy Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I’ve only played it two times so far, but I can’t get into it. Maybe it is the virus causing it. Life has been turned upside down. I don’t know how anyone can concentrate on video games right now, aside from the idiots out there who still don’t take anything seriously.
