Ghost ‘N Goblins Resurrection is coming to the Nintendo Switch on February 25th

The Game Awards 2020 has been a very busy night for Nintendo fans, and that trend continues with another surprising Nintendo Switch-related announcement. Believe it or not, Capcom’s Ghost ‘N Goblins franchise is going to be coming back. And yes, the game is coming to Nintendo’s console.

The game is called Ghost ‘N Goblins Resurrection. It is a “nostalgic, yet fresh adventure that welcomes back its faithful fans, while introduces a new generation of heroes to challenge one of gaming’s classic series”. The game features “eerie stages set in the Demon Realm, a demonic fantasy world”. You’ll be able to play it on February 25th. The official tweet is down below.

  1. This game is SUCH a troll. I will play it if it has a save point system integration, like NES and SNES online games do on the Switch.

  2. Cool, I like this. I hope they don’t tone down the difficulty too much. Probably will be an easier mode as I remember this game being pretty hardcore, especially later levels. I did beat this game as a kid though.
I think that bit at the end of the trailer is some sort of help to make this game easier.

  3. Definitely buying this!, I’m not too keen on the graphics but I’m sure I’ll get used to them. My first experience with of the series was Ghosts ‘N’ Goblins on c64, when I saw the sequel Ghouls ‘N’ Ghosts (vertical aiming for the first time!) in the arcade, I was amazed how much better the graphics, sound and gameplay were, I lost many quarters lol. Then SNES sequel followed and it was just as good or better, double jumping, super music!, and graphics that were just as good or better than the arcade prequel. My only issue was the lack of verticle aiming (after all it’s called Super Ghouls ‘N’ Ghosts). The PSP sequel that followed “Ultimate Ghost ‘N’ Goblins” was great too. It brought back vertical aiming (or for the first time to Ghosts ‘N’ Goblins to be technical), it was also the first game to be made in polygons, but unfortunately is not accessible to many because it’s on PSP only. I’m glad to see this series “resurrected”. Capcom bring back the spin offs Gargoyles Quest series and Maximo too, you could remake or remaster them, hire Wayfoward or Inti Creates if you don’t feel like doing it yourselves, there’s money to be made here.
