
If you follow the Japanese sales charts which are published each Thursday then you will be aware that the Nintendo Switch is by far the dominant console in Japan. Games Industry is reporting that Nintendo Switch devices accounted for 87% of all consoles sold last year in the land of the rising sun. The standard Nintendo Switch sold 3.9 million units and the Switch Lite sold just over 2 million units. Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the top selling game shifting 6.4 million copies. Nintendo also held almost 50% of boxed game sales in 2020.

If Ghost of Tsushima and The Past of US II are the right place then why didnt they last long in sales like Animal Crossing around the world?
