The latest UK physical video game charts have arrived and there’s a new No.1 this week which is the newly released Aliens: Fireteam Elite. However, on the Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to perform exceptionally in the UK and this week it has climbed back to No.2 (last week it was No.4) which is incredible considering the game came out on 2017 and is a enhanced port of the Wii U game, Mario Kart 8. If you were wondering about the long-awaited No More Heroes 3, that arrived this week at No.16. Here’s the GfK top ten for the week ending 28th August 2021:

It’s a niche game for a niche market meaning this was expected but it did make it in the top 20. The North American sales would probably be at best the same. Glad i picked up my copy literally right after i clocked out from work and not only the game is $10 cheaper the perks of working at a place that sells video games is that sweet 10% discount meaning i paid slightly under MSRP (at that place otherwise the real MSRP would be $60).
Games Industry think it probably did better digitally though Nintendo doesn’t reveal digital sales numbers. Maybe we will hear more from Marvelous.
