It is not uncommon for various gaming media outlets to release some lists that reveal their most favorite or least favorite gaming-related things. However, every once in a while, there is a list that appears that relates to the world of Nintendo.
The latest one comes from Slash Gear. Their list isn’t in any specific order, but Slash Gear created a list of the 15 rarest Nintendo 64 games to release. Some of the game included are specific versions of a Nintendo 64 game. You can see all the games mentioned on their list down below.
- Snowboard Kids 2
- Goemon’s Great Adventure
- Conker’s Bad Fur Day
- Daikatana
- WCW Backstage Assault
- Bomberman 64: The Second Attack!
- Ogre Battle 64: Person Of Lordly Calibre
- Pokémon Snap (Not for Resale)
- Yoshi’s Story: International Version
- GoldenEye 007 (Not For Resale Gray)
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Collector’s Edition)
- Super Bowling
- Stunt Racer 64
- Rampage 2: Universal Tour [Big Box]
- ClayFighter 63 1/3: The Sculptor’s Cut
And they all cost a fortune.
My OoT cartridge isn’t the golden cartridge, but it’s still the uncensored one with the red blood, chanting, and original mirror shield symbol. Wonder how much that would go for.
I still have my Goemon’s Great Adventure cart. Both of the N64 Goemon games are really great, so it would definitely be nice to have them on NSO since they’re so rare now
Snowboard Kids 2 was rare? I remember seeing it everywhere.
Bomberman 64 the Second Attack! on the other hand… I saw it maybe once in stores, and only like three copies of it on the shelf. Now I think it’s a miracle my parents were able to find a copy for Christmas that year.
I’m surprised Aidyn Chronicles isn’t there. That game felt like it didn’t get a mass production. In fact, I’m shocked Bomberman 64: The Second Attack is there.
Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine should be on here. Never got a full release, only sold after Blockbuster rentals…
