Front Mission 2: Remake coming to Nintendo Switch in June

Forever Entertainment has announced today that they have been busy working on Front Mission 2: Remake and fans of the games won’t have to wait long until they can get their hands on the sequel. The strategic turn-based game is heading to the Nintendo Switch on Monday, 12th June and it will be the first time that Front Mission 2 has launched outside of Japan. Forever Entertainment, which has revitalised a number of classic video games for modern formats, have said that Front Mission 2 Remake with be a faithful remake of the second game in the series. Here’s all the details:

FRONT MISSION 2: Remake preserves the mature story, strategic turn-based combat, and Wanzer customization options of the original. Enjoy the revitalized classic with updated visuals and new features and enhancements! 12 years have passed since the second Huffman conflict. The impoverished People’s Republic of Alordesh has been suffering a severe economic decline ever since the war ended. In June 2102, soldiers of the Alordesh Army rise up and, led by Ven Mackarage, declare independence from the O.C.U. (Oceania Cooperative Union).

Ash, an O.C.U. soldier, manages to survive the ensuing battle, but Alordesh is completely overrun by the Revolutionary Army. Ash and his surviving teammates infiltrate Alordesh’s chaotic underground in an attempt to escape the country. However, they soon discover that there is a huge conspiracy behind the coup. In FRONT MISSION 2, the perspective switches between three characters: Ash, Lisa, and Thomas, creating a worldview that goes beyond a simple dichotomy between good and evil.

  1. Never played this series, but based off the announcement trailer on YouTube for the Front Mission 2 Remake it look’s like something i might be interested in. I like the strategy and tactical RPG elements.
