Nintendo and Illumination are currently firing on all cylinders at the moment with the recently released The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Entertainment site Variety is now reporting that the film has surpassed $500 million worldwide at the box-office. Breaking down the numbers The Super Mario Bros. Movie has earned $260.3 million domestically and $248.4 million internationally with a total of o $508.7 million. The beautifully animated film is currently the highest-grossing film of 2023 and has also claimed the accolade of the highest grossing video game adaption, which it managed in just one week.

    Would have been cool to read the commie’s (quadraxis) thoughts about the movie, the site feels empty without him.

    1. Let’s be real here.
      Sega didn’t fail with the sonic films, both were successful in their own right.
      The Super Mario movie success proves that Mario has always been more popular than Sonic.
