Terraria designer says game continues to sell “like hot cakes” and they can’t move on

Terraria still seems to be a force to be reckoned with, so much so that the developers are finding it hard to move on to other projects. Speaking on Twitter, the sandbox game’s designer and developer Andrew Spinks, said that the game is continuing to sell like hot cakes and because there is so much consumer demand for the game, the core team is finding it hard to move on to whatever it is they are working on next. Terraria originally launched in May 2011 and is available on Nintendo Switch and multiple other formats and the forthcoming 1.4.5 update will include crossover content for the acclaimed Dead Cells

“After 12 years the game still sells like hot cakes,” Spinks wrote on Twitter (he has since deactivated his Twitter account). “There is so much demand it makes it hard to move on.”

  1. Game is 20 bucks in consoles and half that on PC. After 12 years I doubt it is selling like hotcakes. I am most positive that those cakes are cold and starting to grow mold by now.
