Goldeneye 007 on Nintendo Switch Online sees some textures fixed

Nintendo has said before that their developers continue to work on improving the Nintendo Switch Online experience for users and the latest fixes found are for Rare’s iconic Goldeneye 007 on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. Dataminer Graslu00 has taken a look at the game and has compared the current version to the launch version, which became available on the service earlier this year. The dataminer has discovered that some of the textures for the game have been improved, though other aspects remain unfixed, such as some of the smoke effects and the muzzle flash on certain weapons. You can read his full findings here. Grasul00 believes that the update is most likely an N64 emulator-wide fix which went live yesterday when the Kyoto-based company added Pokémon Stadium 2, so other Nintendo 64 games may have also benefited from improvements.

  1. Still holding out hope for more Rare titles on NSO. The excellent N64 version of Diddy Kong Racing hasn’t seen a rerelease since its launch in 1997!

    1. Timesplitters 2 was awesome. I couldnt ever play Golden Eye on a N64 because it was set up for a right handed person. I got really angry at it. That controller was a block for many games being lefty until I finally got an Action Fighter controller
