SEGA is delving into its extensive back catalog and preparing reboots of several classic gaming franchises such as Jet Set Radio, Comix Zone, and Guardian Heroes. Bloomberg originally mentioned that Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio were being worked on, so the news about Comix Zone and Guardian Heroes is new information. I’m a Hero Too also mentioned that SEGA is launching a new Sonic the Hedgehog game next year. I’m a Hero Too’s Reddit account appears to have been deleted.

- Another Sonic is coming next year, along with Jet Set, Comix Zone and a new Guardian Heroes (not sure on the date for that one)
- Persona 6 is a bit further away than last time I updated. I don’t think it’s making 2024 (original plan was reveal last winter)
- Main theme of P6 is “black and white”, some parts still look Green in the gills, I’m waiting on other leakers before the floodgates open
- There is another Persona game yet to be revealed, I’ll finally say it’s a party game

Superstars & a Frontiers DLC fulfills your first two issues, Sonic being able to go super & maybe like 2 other inspirations isn’t an incentive for Sega to suddenly add fusion and make Sonic games more like Dragon Ball Z, Sally was never playable nor probably even canon in the Sonic gameverse. Your only notable issue was for a Chao Garden, which in my opinion, isn’t really needed or important enough for me to enjoy a Sonic game.
Frontiers’ latest update is making his friends playable again with Superstars adding them from the start featuring Chaos powers and Super forms. The fusion idea sounds like a horrible powerwank idea for Sonic, it’s not needed.

As much as I’d like to see that happen unfortunately Sega doesn’t own Guardian Heroes and I highly doubt Treasure will do anything with it given how Treasure rarely make games now and is privately owned and I don’t see Sega being capable of actually making a competent Guardian Heroes game since the only franchise they ever male are Sonic games.
I would love to see a new GH game but I’ve been disappointed too many times to the point where I just don’t believe these type of rumors at all anymore and scoff at people spreading them.

We already got a sequel for Guardian Heroes for the 3DS, so I can’t see why Treasure wouldn’t make another one.
