  1. The switch is something else. Moving 60k units over the newest shiny more powerful PS5’s 10k in Japan is wild. Things sure changed since last generations PS4 Dominance in Japan.

    1. Japan loves their hybrids/handhelds. This is why the Switch 2 will most likely keep their hybrid features. It’s their biggest advantage against PS5.

    2. Maybe in Western countries it would be “something else” and “wild”. But Japan is handheld country, always has been. Sony moved their HQ out of Japan numerous years ago as it’s no longer a priority market for them. For Spider-Man 2 to sell 77,000 copies, while dwarfed by Super Mario Bros. Wonder, it’s still impressive.

      You know what isn’t impressive?

[NSW] Sonic Superstars (SEGA, 10/17/23) – 4,128 (New)

Once again proving that by and large 3rd party games don’t sell well on Nintendo hardware. A difference of over 660,000 copies compared to Super Mario Bros. Wonder. And that gap will only increase over time.

Don’t bother replying to link2metroid. That guy will never respond back since he only care about what he himself said. Wish this site use Disqus so I can also block him here.

      1. Wrong game to hang your hat on, considering that (from what Is being said) 49% of all Sonic Superstars sells were on the switch, dropping to 34% for PS5 and a slim 10% on Xbox. With the rest being split between PS4 and PC. Superstars just didn’t sell well… Everywhere.
