Widescreen mode image scaling for Jet Force Gemini is broken on the Switch

It is December, which means that Jet Set Gemini will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack’s retro libraries any day now. However, if you have the Japanese version of the Nintendo 64 retro library, you can play the game right now. Because of this, it has provided early insight into how the game plays ahead of its western release.

Unfortunately, there is one obvious bug with playing the game. According to Nintendo World Report, when the game is on widescreen mode, the image of the game isn’t properly scaled. The game will look letter-boxed, when it should be stretched to fill the screen. Since the bug is very easy to replicate and not hard to notice, Nintendo is more than likely aware of the issue by now. So, time will tell if the western release of the game has the bug or not.

    1. Because these bugs will fly under the radar and this is more to do with the emulator as they aren’t perfect at emulating the console is supposed to be.

  1. That’s funny because it runs great on the Xbox platform, and it can still be bought physically in the Rare collection or separately on the xbox store.
Can’t even own this game on switch though, only rent it until Nintendo decides to delist it or until the switch eshop shuts down.
    Just stating facts here.
