Windows Central sources say Xbox is “exploring bringing some of its back catalog to other platforms”

The latest rumour doing the rounds online is that the excellent Hi-Fi Rush is Nintendo Switch bound which was sparked by news that a beloved Xbox first party game is coming to “competitor platform” this year. Windows Central, which is generally accurate when it comes to Microsoft Xbox rumours, has expanded on this saying that they have heard from their sources that Microsoft “has been exploring bringing some of its back catalog to other platforms.” There’s quite a few games that would be perfectly suited to either the Nintendo Switch, or possibly Sony’s PlayStation 5. We probably won’t have to wait long to find out, now that the cat is presumably out of the bag.

“They say there’s no smoke without fire. I will say that it has been suggested to me from very trusted, proven sources that Microsoft has been exploring bringing some of its back catalog to other platforms, although some of the details remain vague and unconfirmed. We’ve reached out to Microsoft to comment and clarify its position on this stuff.”

  1. Hey that’s pretty cool, I already have an Xbox, but I hope others have the chance to play some cool games. Wolfenstein 1, early Halo, and Fallout 3 would be pretty cool to bring over

If Microsoft were smart, the original Gears Trilogy would be a good one to bring to promote Gears 6/Gamepass

  2. Why is it that Mynintendonews can publish articles that specifically mention M$ Xbox and/or PlayStation but everyone gets all dramatic if anyone mentions M$ Xbox and/or PlayStation in the comment section. Apparently, it’s against the TOS if you mention M$ Xbox and/or PlayStation on a Nintendo fourm or maybe it’s just this one.

    1. God all you seem to do on here is make dumb pointless comments and then whine about people criticising you.
      Get a grip.

    2. I love how you’re complaining about fanboys while actively calling Microsoft M$, but not calling PlayStation P$.

Anyways, if this site offends you that much, I feel bad for you. Because going to any dedicated site like PushSquare, PS Universe, PC gamer, Xbox Wire, or Pure Xbox you would see the full force of fanboyism. Hell, Even IGN, ResetEra, Gamespot, Gamersnt and Kotaku swing one way or another, and they will tare you to shreds for simply liking one exclusive way too much. It’s childsplay here… Now lol it was chaos before.

    3. It’s just this website , it’s filled with children that jerk of to Nintendo in there bedroom every. Specially that moonstruck faggodie who’s entire life revolves around Nintendo. Most of them don’t really like video games and are just casuals.

      1. Yikes, I can only assume that one of my past comments must’ve reaaaally rubbed you the wrong way seeing as I don’t actually comment on here super often lmao.
Way to out yourself as a manchild though. Good job.

    4. Every single time I see your comments, I’m amazed that it’s a real person. By the way, you shouldn’t use the same username across different websites. We can all see your adult entertainment comment lol!

  3. I don’t believe in these rumors, it would be counterproductive for Microsoft unless they abandon the console market and dedicate themselves to game pass. Or they’ll do like Sony on steam, old games that have been profitable for a long time like halo 1 but not the newest ones
