Leaker says a beloved Xbox 1st party game coming to “competitor platform” this year

A lot of the rumors from leakers and insiders have been about the next console from Nintendo. However, that doesn’t mean that rumors for unannounced game releases have dried up. There has been some insight in regards to that every now and then. However, this latest rumor from a leaker may surprise you.

You see, leaker NatetheHate recently shared 2024 predictions for the Xbox brand in a new video. At one point in the video, he reveals that “Microsoft will be dabbling in bringing a 1st party game to a competitor platform in 2024. At least one game, I know of one, don’t know if there will be additional”. He doesn’t reveal much about the game, but he says that it “was met with high critical acclaim, fans loved it, it was in the GOTY conversation the year it released”. He also thinks that the announcement will recieve “a lot of excitement because this is a quality game”.

So, what is the game being teased? Well, he doesn’t say. There is a lot of fan speculation that the “competitor platform” that he mentions is the Nintendo Switch. In fact, the most common theory from fans is that Hi-Fi Rush is coming to the Switch this year. Obviously, nothing has been officially announced, so it is always best to keep an open mind for things like this until they are. If this announcement does happen, we’ll make sure to let you know.

    1. Xbox games are already on Nintendo Switch. The New Banjo Game makes sense to come to Nintendo. What will be big is if Halo comes to Nintendo along with The Master Chief in Smash. You can already play as Master Chief on Nintendo Switch Via Fortnite. I don’t think Nintendo wants Smash to move away from being a game that anybody age can play though.

  1. Yeah this definitely feels like it’s going to be HiFi Rush, which is a great game, try it out if it really does come to switch

  2. “beloved Xbox 1st party game”……hmmm, Really need to think on that.

Have they had any this decade? Or does this mean something from the 360 generation is being ported?

    1. Halo Infinite, High Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, psychonauts, Horizon 5, Motorsport, Gears 5, Ori (already on switch) Grounded, Flight Simulator, State of Decay 2, Starfield, and Quantum Break. I get not being in the ecosystem, but let’s not make asses of ourselves.

      1. mans really tried to say that Halo Infinite, Pentiment, Psychonauts, Gears 5, Grounded, State of Decay 2, Starfield, and Quantum Break were great games 😐😐

        1. Mans said that Xbox has had no “beloved” games since the 360. Each one of the games I mention are critically acclaimed Xbox games. So mans should learn how to read, and again, stop making an ass of ones self.

    1. If they ported halo to the switch we would have the exploding consoles incident all over again when cyberpunk released on xbox one and ps4.

        1. Honestly Halo 1 on the switch for 20$ or less would be dope. It would go great along side the doom or quake ports

  3. Since when are leakers selective about what they share, if they are confident? Why wouldn’t they just say what game? I was a bit bummed about gta 6 trailer leak, could have been a cool moment for the game awards.

Master Chief Collection on a switch is what I want.

  4. I don’t buy in on these kinda rumours if they knew what it was they would tell people and get credit for it and not make everyone play the guessing game. These kinda rumours get everyone hyped up and it turns out being nothing, wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another Skyrim release.

  5. One game they should have considered was Sunset Overdrive for the Switch.
Even though Insomniac own the rights to that IP and are owned by Sony, Microsoft still own publishing rights of the Sunset Overdrive and can release that game on whatever platform they wish, similar to Platinum own the rights to the Bayonetta IP but Sega still own publishing rights to the first Bayo game and can release Bayo 1 on any platform they wish.
Sunset Overdrive was a really good game and not only deserved more attention, but a sequel as well.
Too bad Insomniac is owned by Sony, we’ll never get another original game or a Sunset Overdrive sequel out of them now.
