One feature that has been a favorite among a significant portion of Sonic fans is the Chao Gardens, where players are able to take care of Chao and raise them to participate in events like races and karate tournaments. Chao Gardens haven’t returned in almost 20 years, and it has been confirmed that Sonic X Shadow Generations won’t have it either.
However, for Chao fans, there is still hope. Not long after confirming that there are no Chao Gardens in Sonci X Shadow Generations, Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka was asked about bringing Chao Gardens back by Video Games Chronicle in a new interview. Iizuka responded by saying that “at some time, yes, because we hear the same thing. Everybody wants it”.

When I got the notification for this I thought they were adding a Chao Garden to Sonic x Shadow Generations. Looks like it was a false alarm. 😅
Sonic Team this is the 3rd year in a row that you’ve said you’re open to bringing back the Chao Garden. Come on now, just do it already!
They also said multiple times about thinking of making a sonic adventure 3 and porting some of the older games for years I rather wait and see instead of hearing them make the same pr comment almost anytime new sonic content is release from them.
Yes they said many times. However, its still a thing but lizuka did said there is no plans for Sonic Adventure 3.
Well people been asking about this for a decade now and I think it’s the best time to bring it back to games soon.

I would be very happy with a standalone Chao Garden game.
I always hear how great this mode was, and I vaguely remember it, but from what I remember, all I did was toss eggs around. What was the fascination with it? (Serious question)
Has the community not been vocal about bringing the Chao Garden back for years? It’s been over two decades since the ones from SA2; imagine how advanced a Chao Garden could be now.

I have dreamed about having the Chao Garden return from SAB2 for YEARS! I seriously put so much effort into breeding, racing, and fighting my chaos. It was so much stinking fun. I want to do that again so so so bad!
