It is hard to believe but Square Enix’s hit RPG Octopath Traveler is now celebrating its 6th anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, designer Yoshio Watanabe, has produced some special artwork which is inspired by the Octopath Traveller II’s latest update which brought with it the extra battle mode. This mode brings challenging post-game battles against the cast of the original Octopath Traveler, in which you will need to master the game’s mechanics.

A free update is currently available for Octopath Traveler 2, which allows you to battle the main characters from Octopath Traveler 1. Maybe Orberic and the others look something like this…? Sure would be great if we got a Definitive version or re-release of the first game on Switch, or maybe even a collection of both games for a premium price.
