Nintendo spent nearly $910m on Research & Development in last fiscal year

News has emerged that Nintendo participated in a hefty spending spree for its resource and development department during the fiscal year which ended March 2024. As you can see from the handy chart down below, the company spent almost 138 billion yen roughly $910m during that period. The substantial amount of money was likely used towards the company’s successor to the popular Switch console, which is set to be revealed by the Kyoto-based company before March 2025. Nintendo is forecasting yet another increase for the current fiscal year.

    What is the next switch…?

    I don’t want to play the killjoy but we have to compare what is comparable. Inflation has been there in the meantime…
