Metroid Prime 4 skipped in ‘Most Wanted Game’ category at Golden Joystick’s

Voting recently went live for the annual Golden Joystick Awards and there’s plenty of good games to choose from. However, one long-awaited game Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which is being developed by Retro Studios and is scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch next year, has been omitted from the Most Wanted Game category, which seems like reasonably big oversight. Here’s the games that you can vote on in the Most Wanted Game category.

Most Wanted Game:

  • Atomfall
  • Assassin’s Creed Shadows
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization VII
  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
  • Deadlock
  • Death Stranding 2: On The Beach
  • Doom: The Dark Ages
  • Exodus
  • Fable
  • Ghost of Yotei
  • Grand Theft Auto VI
  • Hollow Knight: Silksong
  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
  • Light No Fire
  • Mafia: The Old Country
  • Monster Hunter Wilds
  • Skate.
  • Slay the Spire 2
  • South of Midnight

  1. Couldn’t personally care less about any of those games but Prime 4 is my most anticipated thing in gaming right now, even more than the new console reveal, so pretty big omission. Haven’t even heard of some of those tbh

  2. Something’s off. Maybe the game is to be released far away in 2026?? So it’s excluded from the list because it’s too far away??

    1. If you do same-ish games once every ten years, it’s not THAT hard to produce “s tier meals”. 🤷‍♂️

      1. gta 5 is still the most groundbreaking open world to date, rockstar games are masterfully crafted with ton of details and polish into their worlds, no. it’s not easy to create games like rockstar and when it comes to open world, no one can beat them.

  3. They passed up Metroid Prime 4…for AssCreed: Shadows of Bankruptcy.

Awards shows have never been more worthless than they were before. Whoever is in charge ought to sit on a rusty thumbtack in the middle of a freeway.

  4. Metroid Prime 4 trailer was lackluster and BORING! And I’m a huge Metroid fan. Not even excited for the game anymore really.
