This is Fine: Maximum Cope confirmed for Nintendo Switch

The artist behind the famous “This Is Fine” meme, KC Green, has teamed up with Numskull Games for This is Fine: Maximum Cope, a platformer featuring the totally-fine cartoon dog itself- Question Hound- as it travels through several realms to fight against its inner demons and emerge victorious.

The game has now met its funding goal of $50,000 and will release on Nintendo Switch at an undisclosed date.

    1. Will it be fine? No. This is a meme being turned into a generic platformer. This will be like… most video game adaptations of popular cartoons or movies.

  1. I can probably count on one hand the amount of good games based on memes, and I doubt this game is gonna add an extra digit to that count

  2. I think you guys are a bit to harsh on this, the premise about maintaining your mental stability is pretty charming to me! I may be totally wrong and this game turns out to be absolute shit, but for now yeah. I’m just gonna sit and watch what happens next

    1. idk. All I see is walking, jumping, and an attack that goes just a few units in front of the player. That… was it. And the only proposed moves revealed were some kind of helicopter mobility move and “dog breath”. AND the themes for each level/world was just manifest in a themed boss fight rather than any unique mechanics or stage hazards.

I feel like it’s ultimately a cash and grab type project. But hey, I’d rather you be right than me be right tbh

  3. So nobody paid attention to the start of the video, which clearly warns “THIS IS A PROTOTYPE?” Sure, it started as a meme, but it sounds like they’ve got a decent organizing theme, the developer seems competent, the scope is reasonable, and it’s certainly topical. Could be a fun game to escape into as the world continues to burn.

  4. Looks like reality finally kicked in for this dog.

The question now is: What will he DO about it? Puss out or go Rambo?
