Nintendo’s latest financial report have given us a window of insight into how well they expect the upcoming Switch 2 to perform during its first year. Specifically, they’re expecting to sell 15 million Switch 2 units, with an additional 45 million in software sales.

Also included in this forecast are Switch 1 hardware and software projections, which have an expected decrease when compared to the previous year. These figures come with quite a few caveats, including the exclusion of software packaged with hardware in bundles, as well as upgrade packs.

The interesting question is do we think that number of 45 million software sales implies that there is another major Nintendo release for Switch 2 that we don’t already know about? Considering it doesn’t count pack-in Mario Kart World sales or upgrade packs, 3 games per console sold seems like a lot. I assume this doesn’t include third party also.
I think they should include the “Switch 2 edition” 3 games per switch 2, it’s an average but we’ll probably have an ND during the summer or in September for its future releases at Christmas
So basically the original Switch is dead turkey.
No because there are parents and students that don’t have a lot of money to buy the Switch 2 let alone Switch OLED.
