Ubisoft says original Rayman Legends will not be delisted once Retold releases

Ubisoft recently unveiled the visually impressive Rayman Legends Retold which is a retelling of the classic 2D platformer with sparkling new visuals and additional levels and content. Some were worried that Ubisoft might pull the original Rayman Legends once Retold launches, but they were worrying over nothing as the official Rayman X account has said that the original games are being left alone.

  1. I’ll say this about about ubisoft when they make a remake that’s a “re-telling” and not a straight remake, they still keep the original game. First original AC black flag isnt being removed now this

  2. Well that’s good to hear I guess, I mean it already has physical releases, but having the original still on the eshop is a good thing. It’s fun to see side by side! Like I love how rayman legends looks, but it is inconsistant. The original has beautiful 2D art with pretty low poly 3d models and some stiff animations on the 3d models. But the new version looks great, but I prefer the original in some ways. But I honestly want to get this remake, it’s a steal! You are getting this giant platformer with even more content for 40$ that includes rayman origins! like that’s an insane deal!

I think they are imagining the huge backlash hence leaving the og game alone not that huge backlash don’t deter them from doing braindead moves.

  4. Sometimes we want to play the original version of a game. Imagine if Capcom removed the original RE4 after the remake came out.
Heck, imagine if Nintnedo removes Ocarina from NSO after they release the remake. That would suuuuuuuck.
