Zelda Producer Reconfirms New Zelda Game In The Works For Nintendo 3DS

The Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has sent out a SpotPass notification on the Nintendo 3DS telling people that he hopes they’re looking forward to the next Zelda game which is scheduled to come out on the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo has yet to release any information regarding the next Zelda game, but hopefully we will hear something at GDC.

            1. HEY I LOVE EVERY ZELDA!!! well, even the CD-i’s, no I hated the CD-i’s…. they only good for youtube poops :P
BUT W.W AND P.H AND S.T WERE AWESOME!! I love all zeldas!! again, except CD-i’s.

    1. please don’t make it like spirit tracks or phantom hour glass one or the worst zelda’s to play because of the controls. make it like ocarina of time 3D please

      1. I’m glad someone other than me actually knows this ^^ I keep having to tell everyone, and Sickr even made a post about it a few months ago

        1. yeah i knew this too, I’m just glad there’s gunna be a new Zelda for the 3DS and THEN hopefully a few years later a MM remake ^_^

        1. 2/3 games are now being localized because of a petition, it’s not too far out there to think this one will work. Although I do think Nintendo would have done the MM remake anyway.

      1. Well, it is a note asking “Did you enjoy Ocarina of Time 3D?” so it makes sense that it’s only for people who have the game.

      1. @Mr Emcee ClapYoHands — Did you finish the game? Because I own it too, I enjoyed it too, but for some hours, I didn’t go through it totally, and me too, I didn’t receive the swapnote…. so if, you too, you didn’t finish it, maybe that’s why we didn’t receive it!

      2. Me too bro. I have the game and played today to get the note, but It never came. Thankfully I have good friends on my 3DS as Mike, who sent me the the new Zelda themed paper! =D

          1. I didn’t get it either :((((((((((( I had SM3DL in my 3DS, until now that I saw your post and ran the hell out to put OOT3D, and nothing :( I have already finished it and started MQ. I’m so sad, I would love to have that note from Eiji. At least could you please send me the stationery? My code is 2363-6154-7668, please, please, please :)

      3. Ah!!! lolll, while I was typing “Me too I want iiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttt!!!!!!”, I saw the blue light on Swapnote. I received it!!! :D Niice

        1. its to early to remake diamond and pearl since it was released 5 years ago and ruby and saphire were released 10 years ago so there is a better chance that it will be a ruby saphire remake

        1. I know, the Spirit tracks instrument didn’t sound good and was difficult to use, not to mention that my mic would break sometimes and make it impossable to use.

      1. They should use an ocarina. It just doesn’t have the same effect if it’s not an ocarina. An MM sequal would also be pretty awsome(Prussia) though it might be hard to make it well.

  2. a new zelda is always good news, i hope they leave the spirit tracks, phantom hourglass series alone now though, its had a decent run and its time for something new, something fresh for handheld zelda. i doubt itl be the apparent mm remake but either way il be getting it whatever itl be when its finally released

  3. I can confirm that the swapnote from Aonuma is still being delivered in America and Latin America, I just got mine. Here’s what I did:
Inserted and started OOT3D, changed the time as the time of the nintendo conference, changed time back to the real time, waited.

Anyway I don’t know if those things are necessary, I just got desperate xD I think everybody will receive it sooner or later though.

  4. Please be a follow up to Spirit Tracks! I want to see what happens in the new Hyrule Kingdom and the Zelda in that game is hilarious. Would love to see a sequel of that game with Skyward Sword graphics and Ocarina of Time 3D gameplay.

  5. Well done to your web, complete and relevant info that post.

I am wondering about all the ZELDA games which i loved. The very first game and the very first console they are the best games ever i would like to collect the whole series but since you have change consoles to often the original game cannot play on them and you make the ZELDA games you make for wii but not for 3DS or DSI consoles i hope you can change all this since it is the 25th anniversary i have the books of spirit tracks and hourglass i hope and the games could you please fix up the problem i know it takes time i would love to have the set again

  7. I thought the Ocarina of Time remake for 3DS was made by another outside company? Also, if you do want a MM remake, join the petittion on this website: http://operation-moonfall.org/#discuss
It says on there that the remake of MM would be done by another company so it wouldn’t stop the creaters of Zelda making a new game.
In reguards to the new game- Bring back some of the old villains like Vaati. Actually, just bring back Vaati, I would go and buy the 3DS console just for that one new zelda game if it had Vaati in it. Anyway, I would like it to have graphics like OoT, TP or SS rather than PH or ST since I like OoT’s style better. Also, I would like to have a darker game- more like MM or TP, so it has a genral Dark-Tense atmosphere rather than the sort of Happy-Relaxed atmosphere like those in some of the other games. I also think it would be nice to have something slightly different, the last couple of games, SP, WW, PH, SS- all had boats, birds or trains to travel around and that seemed to be the thing that made it different. MM, for example, had masks that created a huge diversity to the game, as well as having the three day ‘time limit’ that made you rush a bit a become careless as you reached near the end of the final day. MC, had the Minish, tiny creatures that took the game to new levels.
The difficulty- In games that using the sword is simply ‘A’ ect, the combat system is less difficult but uses the items more and makes you think about how different things effect different enemys. In SS where the sword changes depending on how you swing it, the fighting with a sword was much more difficult and I spent a while knows exactly how to kill this certain enemy, just not being able to swing the sword right. I also found in SS how usesless my sheild was, not only was is a pain to get up in time to block that hit, it brock within seconds of using it so I would revert back to dodging, still, I almost never use my sheild since I never learnt how to use it properly, probably because it was brocken for half a temple.
Puzzle dificulty, The older games like OoT, MM, MC and FS seemed to have more difficult puzzles that killed you a coupld of times. SS, WW, PH and ST I have found I needed to help on the puzzles and spent only a few seconds considering what to do before actually doing that. I prefer the games that you have to think about things a bit and have to use all of your items to solve the puzzles.
Heh, that was long. I still think Vaati should come back, he was the most epic Zelda character ever.
