It’s not April yet in the UK either, which sits in the time zone by which all other time zones are measured. Google is a primarily western company, and the UK and USA are the two prime western territories so it would make sense to time the release for one or the other.
It went up just as it became April 1st in New Zealand (leading time zone in the world). And while I’m at it, it’s April 1st where I am.
