Bioware released an Extended Cut for Mass Effect 3 because fans of the game were not pleased with its original ending. If you have Mass Effect 3 for the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, the Extended Cut is available as a free download. Instead of manually downloading them, the extended ending and Earth multiplayer expansion are going to be included with every copy of Mass Effect 3 for Wii U, which will be released this year.

It still sucks that there is no news about ME 2 being released or an interactive comic like was included with ME 2 on PS3. Nintendo exclusive gamers are going to miss out on a great series if they only get 3.
Hopefully there will at least be an interactive comic with the story from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 included in this game.

Don’t blame Nintendo for playing safe with lauch titles. To be fair, who doesn’t? During launch you have to put up some safe selling titles that you know your main audience wants and also some unsafer titles that you know might drag in other people. The Wii U launch seems like a great example of this.

Well we’d never see the first game, but theres a dark horse interactive comic for that to make the important choices. As for 2, a port can be done, but again, we dont know if we’ll even see it. Playing ME3 on its own seems pointless if you ask me.

In fact, all things considered, that would actually be faster and less expensive than having to buy the last two games.
I’ll likely do that very thing and then decide whether I want to purchase the last two for my PS3, after the videos have given me enough information to make an informed decision about their quality.
But, if I’m being absolutely honest, I would rather wait for the day that the company known as Gearbox decides to actually DO a Borderlands 2 exclusive version for the Wii U[one that takes advantage of the pad] over spending money on the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3.
Its not about the story line, what makes Mass Effect so good is that you shape the story, and 2 really changes how the story plays out in 3 dramatically, and gives you that emotional engament, some senses in 3 nearly brought tears to my eyes
But if you just have the interactive comic of 2, you dont get the back story of the characters, and learn of their past and personalities and really get to know them.
And Gearbox have nothing to do with ME, ME is Bioware and EA.

No, i have a ps3 and i got it, it was released much later than the 360 version, but its still there, came with all the DLC as well which was great as well as back story comic to make the decisions from 1.

Well thats what the ps3, like an interactive recap, but with 2, i think its too important to miss out on. I would have loved a trilogy collection instead. Mass Effect 3 is old news now and even though I havent beaten it, I’ve already gotten a good taste of it and I love it. I’d totally love to start back from the very beginning, and for this, I’m hesitant to even buy a WiiU copy because EA could have for sure made a trilogy set sore WiiU and I would’ve paid top dollar for it

I try not to be too too harsh on Alba he/she seems nice enough, just doesn’t seem to do as much research as I would like. But I think most people’s problems with her stem from the fact that they have read an article incorrectly and then misjudge it. Even Sickr posts articles with misleading headlines and some poorly stated facts. No news site is perfect. So at least try to be civilized. Pointing something out without being a dick is much more successful then simply cursing his/her name lmfao. you pretty much summed me perfectly. I was a huge ninttendo fan but the wii was a huge flop in terms of the consumer. Financially Nintendo and the investors were all swimming in money like in ducktales :P Wii was so inferior I had to resort to using an emulator to get 1080p out of my games. Skyward sword looks beautiful in 1080p. Wasted potential there. Its funny am being called a graphics whore when Nintendo fanboys r now boasting about GRAPHICS when they didnt give a hoot in 2006 and cared more for the gameplay…sigh

The wiiU is actually turning out to be not so bad but the gearbox comments saying its a rly cool console when they ONLY mention about the pad and not what everyone wants… the specs (GPU, CPU clock speed etc etc etc) sounds like marketing speak to me :P

Mario U visuals look really nice but the gameplay is the same. I dont think there will ever be a mario platform as good as mario world. Wii was disappointing, although it had much more games that were amazing quality than you say, but it didnt have the games that i most played over the past 6 years, simply due to the graphics, i can help but feel a little sour when i imagine what multiplat games that were on the ps3/360 couldve been like if they used the Wii’s controls.
While you say everyone wants to know what the GPU/CPU is, its not a concern for me. WiiU games are looking great now, basically a high quailty of graphics that the current models have, but thats expected. Look at day 1 360/ps3 titles, compared to ones released this year. Massive improvemt. Graphics arent going to have that kick that we got with the rest of the consoles, there just isnt much more we can do to drastically change the graphics, its just about extra detail and larger games, although alot games are embarrassingly short these days, despite the graphics. And by the time ps4/mext box het released, WiiU could of improved by then and be on par, but we wont know, so its not worth speculating or saying it will fail to deliver.
Duuuude fucking LOVE Super Mario World, every time I play it I try to get and unlock all of its secrets, hidden levels, hidden shortcuts, hidden castles and ect. SMW is by far the hardest Mario ever, SPECIAL anyone???

I have more Wii games in my collection than for my Ps3 and Xbox, Xbox which is the least. The thing I love about the Wii is the different variety of games it has, I think the Wii might be the only console of the 3 that has a lot of arcade shooters which I love so much, games such as the Resident Evil Chronicles 1&2, Dead Space Extractions, House of the Dead Overkill and plenty more, its also have the Nintendo Exclusives that I’ve grown to like and love over the years(back at the NES era) and above all the Casuals that I enjoy playing with the family. Point is to me the Wii has it’s limits when it comes to hardware, but it totally makes up with quantity of different games for any type of gamer, but I do agree of it being catering to casual more, didnt bother me though and I consider myself has core gamer.. :)

As a person who owns a wii at my moms and dads house, I can absolutely agree that the wii has been a bit of a let down, I have had years of enjoyment out of my wiis but they still disappoint me in terms of graphics and games. The only reasons I have to play my wii right now are to finish Skyward Sword and to watch netflix (which the user interface is crap) and honestly skyward sword does disappoint me. I don’t hate the style but I just prefer those of windwaker or twilight princess and sometimes the wii motion plus can just be terrible. I can’t blame you at all for not believing in Nintendo, because of the wii fiasco they have me skeptical as well, but the new hardware interests me because as a fan of the wii (despite its problems) and the DS. And just to clarify I don’t hate the things you post, I just sometimes disagree and sometimes you make some rash comments. I’m glad I was able to characterize you correctly without offending you. I just thought that it might be a nice change of pace to see that not everyone here wants you gone or hates you. ME IMO was a terrible game, stop mid-way through the game, I wanted to like it, but the gameplay was broken and the only thing that was god was the interaction dialogue but other than that, its was meh. Bought the 2nd and the third as well and seriously no offence to those who likes the series but I wasted good money and a bit of my time with ME, dont get me wrong I think the BioWare is a great developer but their earlier work(Jade Empire) out shine ME

They wouldnt of released it without the ending, end of. I half expect them to re-release the whole game, seeing as the new ending is only abailable for download.
Im more concerned with their decision of whether or not tey’re going to release 2 as well. Playing ME3 is pretty pointless without at least playing 2. 1 isnt nessecary, and isnt really that great in comparison, but theres an interactive comment for the key decisions, but 2 really shapes how 3’s entire story ends up, and makes it what it is.
its possible the Wii U will not sell well because of those reaction of this so called “ending”. i did not see it because im planing to find out by myself when i buy it.
or how about the fact it is AN OLD game that all the people who PLAYED the first two bought on launch day?
@ Aeolus; that would be a fair reason to not buy it, but when you think about it logically, bringing the game to the system in the first place is more a show of support for now and in the future than it is a move to garner more sales for the same game.
Although, granted, the new game pad will give players some nifty new options they’ve never had before, I don’t think that will persuade all of those people who have played it before to get it now.
It will really be up to how successful the Wii U is at delivering a different way of playing the game, more than anything else.
I am interested in how they’ll change the gameplay in 3. Im kind of gutted that i already bought Arkham City, because on the WiiU it looks much better, new ways to play, new features, and if thats in ME3, i’ll feel the same, but i wont buy it unless 2 is available as well.
well i know there games still selling even though there 2-5 years old, why because there good. pikmin 3 will still be ok when wii u is on its 5th year.

Agreed. Support will truly show once ll the ports r out and devs are actually making NEW games for all systems inc wiiU… unless they think of an excuse :P Sales will determine it all.

Mass Effect 3 will be awesome on the Wii U! It will probably kick the PS3, PC, and XBOX 360’s ass.
I really don’t mean to sound dumb here but I will probably end up accomplishing that anyhow…Will we still be able to experience the actual ending to the original unextended game? I am curious about the extended ending as well but I have never played Mass Effect and was pretty disappointed in the fans reaction to the end of the game so I would really like to see the end of the original game to see what all of the fuss was about. You did not develop the game so you don’t get to choose how you want to end it! Anyways…that is a whole other can of worms. On another note…PLEASE bring ME 1 & 2 to the Wii U I would really like to play through those as well! (Probably will not happen but I can hope right?!)
It was a big deal because we got no closure, no personal ending, and it just ending without any explanation.
Extended cut fixed that, and overall was a good ending.

I was hoping this wouldn’t be a lazy port. Sounds good so far. I just hope they take full advantage of the Wii U Gamepad when porting this game over to Wii U.
