Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono previously confirmed that Ultra Street Fighter IV won’t be coming to Wii U. Ono is now saying that the company has no current plans to bring any upcoming Street Fighter game to Nintendo’s latest console. Older Street Fighter titles, however, are confirmed for release on Wii U’s Virtual Console. Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers launches August 22 on the service.

Some people just hate the game, in my opinion I think the game sucks so badly. I’d prefer Mortal Kombat which is a far better game. Also, did you know Street Fighter’s Creator chickened out on making a SF Vs MK game because he didn’t want to see his characters get killed and maned.

I’m the total opposite. I like Street Fighter, but I absolutely can’t stand Mortal Kombat and, on the same vein, Injustice. And MK being better than SF isn’t a fact, it’s your opinion.
And Ono (who isn’t actually the creator of the franchise, he only made SF4) didn’t ”chicken out”, he just said that the two universes wouldn’t fit each other, as characters in SF fight with sportsmanship (for the most part), and MK characters just kill each other.
Also Mortal Kombat IS at EVO…they play ALL fighting games during that event…well most of them at least. It wouldn’t have the amount of popularity it currently has if they only played one game a year.

From what developers have said, it’s very easy to port games to the Wii U. There’s no real excuse if all they need to do is sell 20 000-ish copies (which just about every game on the Wii U has done) to not port to the Wii U, even if it is just an e-shop release.
Seriously, are the sales numbers from both Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Resident Evil: Revelations HD so disappointing that Capcom is just “jumping ship” with Wii U games…? If someone could post the sales of those 2 games on Wii U so far I’ll really apreciate it…

Those numbers are very good considering the Wii U only sold 4 million units. You can’t expect Monster Hunter 3 U to sell millions upon millions of copies if the install base isn’t there yet.

I like SF games, not as much as SMASH but this dissapoints me a little. I was thinking now that Nintendo and Sega are in good relationship maybe there is possibility to see new VF game on WiiU. I just dont get it no SC no SF, are the devs so afraid of upcomin Smash that they dont have balls to put any other fightin games on WiiU. They probably saw the trailer and crapped their pants and were like “OH NO SMASH IS COMIN!! What do we do no one cares about our games after that trailer. I know lets not bring our games to WiiU lets show that we cant compete against 1st party titles from Nintendo”, which obviously is true that they cant compete against N titles but its annoying that they dont even try, except from Sega and PG. And anyway look at what position Sega is now on Nintendo system, Sonic games do better on Nintendo etc. its because Sega actually supported and bringed games and made them popular on Nintendo, why other devs dont do that??????

With the Wii, Nintendo explained that they were aiming at a different target group. This because they thought that everyone was competing for making the best racing car but that it didn’t necessary mean that it would fit for everyone. So they decided to make a family car with medium specs.
Now – since then, the market has been quite clear on this case and to distinguish it even more we now see the intentional gimped version of games and/or completely missing 3rd party titles (which will propbably increase).
The key goal here is to make it very clear that you should at least own 2 consoles to be satisfied.

Nintendo fans need to accept that many third party devs simply aren’t going to release anything on Wii U. They should drop their ridiculous “Nintendo only” mentality and buy a second console if they want to play all of the amazing games that are out on other current tech consoles, and soon, next gen tech too.
I don’t accept that finances are a restriction. If they could afford a Wii U then they could easily have afforded a PS3 or 360.

I think Microsoft paid some of these developers to avoid the Wii U. Hell they took Rare ware away from Nintendo. I think Microsoft knows their shit box has nothing on PS4’s future 3rd party tittles and Wii UK’s exclusives. And since 3rd party developers like Sony, Microsoft can’t take them away from PS4 but they can on Wii U. I blame Microsoft!
