Introducing The Nintendo 1DS (Parody)

nintendo_1ds_spoof

A dedicated Nintendo fan has created an amusing spoof page for a non-existent product called the Nintendo 1DS. The device is pitched to be a system that plays Nintendo 3DS and 2DS games by doing away with the upper-screen and letting the the player to use either a TV or smartphone as the upper-display. The device hooks up to the TV using Bluetooth or HDMI. You can check out the fictional but impressive device, right here.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

  2. The 1DS actually seems pretty cool, turns out to be a joke.
The 2DS is still unessential, turns out to be real.

    Oh Nintendo…

            1. Pika Pika Pikachu Pika Pikachu Pi Pikachu Pika Pika
(I’m sorry Sonic we’re still friends and Voice of Reason you’re right)

                    1. Pika Pi Pika Pika Pikachu Pi Pika Pikachu, Pi Pika Pika Pikachu Pi Pika
(T-T Ouch no I’m just trying to be nice, so I guess we can’t be friends now)

  4. Honestly, this would be a really cool device. I know it’s a spoof. But something like this would be really clever and innovative.

  5. So stupid, that makes no sense… The numbers are based off dimensions. 3DS is called that because it’s 3 dimensions. 2DS is called that because it’s 2 dimensions.

The people who make this 1DS joke thinks: “it will be called 1DS so put one screen!”

Using that logic the 3DS should have had 3 screens.

  6. This could work as a cheaper 3DS with single 3D glass multitouch screen, act as a substitute Wii U Gamepad controller with all Gamepad functions, wirelessly stream 3DS/DS/Gameboy game into any TV with compatible software on Wii U while the main screen on the device serves as touchscreen navigation or gameplay for DS or quickly switch screen pictures by tapping a button on the device (Top/Bottom) like a pause for the DS/3DS games. All this at $99.99. ^_^

Let’s call it…the “Nintendo TS” (TM) or “Nintendo Tri” (TM) by me.

“TS” stands for “Tri System” as in three gaming systems (3DS, Gameboy & Wii U) into one.

    Nintendo TS(TM): All-in-One Portable Gaming. ;D

  7. This is actually genious. Wireless Display is the new hot item. A handheld console that can also display on TVs using the “add-on” device like ChromeCast over WiFi. WiiU without the WiiU.

This guy should really watch his ideas as you WILL see them soon.

Google has already launched theirs and Apple is rumored to follow suit this year. Nintendo would be wise to do the same.

  8. Neat idea, but it couldn’t possibly be called a DS with only one screen.
The fact the spoof uses the same web layout as the main NoA site makes it seem legit, and I mean, really seem legit. It’s a great spoof.

If it becomes a thing, oh shit.

  9. It looks and sounds just like the Vita. Waste! Hey iceautistic probably thinks this is a great idea! oh and don’t forget to die. When you do the Wii U will be on fire and you will be dead because everybody hates you. You’re just a dumb autistic retard who can’t even wright up a sentence.

  10. This is a really good idea. I’ve been wanting to be able to hook 3ds games up to a big tv for a while. I hope that they use the Wii U to allow that eventually, but the 1ds is a good idea and I hope nintendo considers it for a product.

  11. Pretty good modeling though. Who ever did this is talented and should looking into product design if they already aren’t doing it.
