The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD might not be the only Zelda game to receive the HD treatment. In an interview with Polygon, series lead producer Eiji Aonuma has reiterated that they once experimented on both Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword when looking into high-definition remakes but only got a semi-realistic version, so ultimately settled on the Wind Waker with its gorgeous aesthetic design. However, Aonuma has said that there would be a small chance the HD redesign may be given the go ahead on those titles, seen as they were previously tested, but it’s wise not to hold our breath on this one. Do you think there’s room for another HD title, and which one would you prefer?
“I can’t say that the possibility is zero that those will be made into HD, but right now I need to work on the next installation in the series so I don’t have the bandwidth to do that right now. But maybe it will happen if someone else does it.”

I think that’s coming. Fans want it. They have he assets from OoT 3D. I think they just wanted to make a new Zelda game for the 3DS before they did another remake, but I can’t imagine that this won’t come eventually.

Twilight Princess would be cool, but I could live without it. I’d rather see a new Zelda use a more “realistic” art style in HD. As for Skyward Sword… that doesn’t have any appeal to me, but as that game was reviewed so highly and sold so poorly (likely because everyone had already lost interest in the Wii), it would make sense for Nintendo to do a remake of that game eventually, but I think they have to allow enough time to pass for this game to achieve “classic” status.

If they did Twilight princess I would hope they input Skyward Sword Motion controls. After going back to play TP recently I found the controls to be a bit stiff and not quite as satisfying as I remembered.
However I think Skyward sword would make the better HD version due to it’s Art Style and more modern mechanics.

I’m going to buy WW HD on the Wii U because I have not the privilege to play it on the GameCube nor the Wii, I already have TP and SS for the Wii, so I have not a reason to buy a duo pack of HD for those games an I do not thing a HD makeover do alot for those games, not even one of the same level they give to WW.

Ocarina of Time was definitely more impressive for its time and impacted gaming more. Although Twilight Princess might strike a chord with modern audiences better since it’s more modern (better graphics, frame-rate etc.). They introduced finishers in that game, and many cool stuff like the Hidden Moves that make the combat mechanics overall more enjoyable.
Wind Waker introduced the coup de grâces before Twilight Princess, but they were more present in TP, yeah.
And yeah, OoT is all what we could expect from a Zelda, this game is all about poetry. MM is cool but just cannot lift again’t OoT :D
HD Versions of these games for my 3DS and no motion controls would be sexy. I had to force myself to complete skyward sword, because I simply abhorred the wiimote. With also the exception of being notified in an epic manner every time I picked up a relic, it was a very interesting game that suffered from pacing problems due to these two big hiccups. I have a fellow friend and Zelda fanatic who has borrowed this game, but is bogged down in wiimote swinging land.
I am aware of the unlikelyhood of this and understand that they stand by the choice of wii controls. However, it did take a while for an apology for that water temple ;) and it is actually a blast now on the 3DS (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

Wii Motion Plus controls were fine. Learn2play. Mashing the “B” button to attack is what is lame now for a new Legend of Zelda entry in my opinion. The motion controls actually make the game feel more realistic. If you think about it, when you hold a sword in real life, and swing with it, you’re moving your arm (like with the Wiimote), you’re not pressing a button. It’s more intuitive.
That’s how it should be. There should be the least barrier possible between the player and the game, and that’s what Skyward Sword accomplishes. If you have problem with motion controls, then you need to keep practicing to become better at it. As with any new controls, it takes awhile to get used to.
Unfortunately, many people such as myself had problems with the motion controls. Some people say it’s the sensor bar, some say maybe the controller. Personally, I don’t know what it was, but the game just didn’t respond properly to anything I did. Very frustrating. Also, the controls were too basic to begin with. What I mean by that is you didn’t have free reign to swing away. You had to wait for the enemies to move their shield a certain way, then strike them a certain way. Really not what I was hoping for from motion controls in a Zelda game. Overall, I did enjoy the game, especially the story, but fighting Ghirahim was just plain brutal because of the faulty motion stuff, and the other fights were too easy.
Looking forward to this versions ! Hope they’ll be made, these games could be gorgeous in HD. Still looking for a remake of Majora’s Mask too.
I don’t mind Twilight Princes again. It would be interesting going back to the wolf, knowing Midna and defeating Zant and saving the monkeys again. Oh How I love those good Nintendo games.
I don’t know how I feel about this… I get the Wind Waker HD remake, because not many people got to play it cause the Game Cub sold so poorly. But, to do remakes of games that clearly MANY people already played sounds pretty lame…

I think they should do HD remake of both Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword and put them together in one collection. They should also do a collection with Super Mario Sunshine HD and Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 in one package.

I think if any should be remade it should be Twilight Princess. Skyward Sword’s art style compliments the Wii’s graphic capabilities, so it would be pretty pointless to change it. Twilight Princess was always lacking in the graphics department for me; it seemed like it was trying to go HD without going HD so to speak.

I want an HD Ocarina Of Time. I know they already did a 3DS version, but it would look AMAZING in HD. Even though I didn’t care as much for Twilight Princess or Majora’s Mask (I think of both of those as the oddball Zeldas), it would be cool to see an HD version of those too. I LOVED Skyward Sword, but I think it’s a little soon to be doing a remake of that.
If they ever do Majora’s Mask inHD, it should be a two-sie… remake Ocarina of Time with MM… only because it features the same Link.
Maybe they could have some connective story thread between them, a short mini- episode or two that makes Link to looking for that weird little skull kid for whatever reason.
