The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Estimated Play Time Revealed

zelda_link_between_world_link

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds should take roughly eighteen and a half hours to fully complete, according to a Dutch website that have managed to get their hands on the game. With more and more pre-release copies being sent out it shouldn’t take too long to find out an average completion time for Link’s long-awaited adventure on Nintendo 3DS. Is eighteen hours playtime enough for you?

Thanks, Nick

  1. Eighteen and a half hours?

That’s really not bad at all, given most games nowadays seem to be completed in ten hours or less.

          1. Screw that; have the option for all the controller types. Wiimote Plus, Game Pad, and Classic Pros.
Variety is the spice of life and it wouldn’t hurt you a damned bit to give others the option.

            1. Their should be no Pro controllers, Classic controllers or Wiimotes and just have the GamePad :( And use the GamePad at it’s full potential :)

      1. Actually games like Windwaker, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword take about 40 hours when just doing a casual playthrough.

  2. That’s a good amount of time, not too long, not too short (even though I love how I’ve spent 40 hours on Twilight Princess and I haven’t beaten it and it’s my 6th time replaying it, long games are good)

    1. A lot better than the measly 8 hours that I heard it takes to complete Super Mario 3D World. But still, that’s not even a full day. Imagine if a person was really good at the game and finished it in one day. Fortunately, I don’t think that ANYBODY can achieve that.

    2. The speaker of truth who stings the trolls

Better than what shitty-ass Killzone is going to be.
      8-10 hours flat.
Fuck you, Donko, and the limp Sony cock you so willingly ride into here every single fucking day.

      1. Why would you bring up Killzone at such an unrelated point ? Insulting fanboys of other companies when you are one yourself. Pathetic.

      1. yes, you imbecile, that should count, motherfucker, we can as well count the rest of our life because you can play it nonstop

    1. 16 hours is what it took, roughly, when taking your time in ALTTP, not rushing or glitching.
      Longer with secrets.
So it’s not that hard to believe that the sequel gets an extra couple of hours tacked on for the main quest, and a bunch more hours for completing all the side quests.

      1. how can you know that it’ll have more sidequests, don’t assume, you fucking piece of shit, also, this game came out 20 years after alttp, so SHUT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK UP

  3. Just to be clear: The website says 18.5 hours for 100% completion. Which seems decent for a handheld game. Certainly not massive. If it was 18.5 hours just for a normal playthrough, it would be amazing.

  4. Maybe because I know the game so well now, but I can tackle 100% LttP in maybe 5-6 hours, tops. It would have taken me around that 18 or more hours the first few times I beat it, so this is acceptable, if true.

  5. If this is true then that game will be very long at least in my terms. I don’t have nearly enough time to even finish a ten hour game these days

  7. The original Link to the Past is my favorite all time game, beaten it at least 5 times. One summer as a 13 year old I did it all in one day, playing close to 15 hours. Nice the new one is just as deep.
