Toy maker Jazwares revealed at the Nuremberg toy fair that Sega is busy developing a brand new Sonic game for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Wii U for 2015. Sega still has a Sonic game in production for Nintendo platforms, so it’s unknown at this point whether the exclusivity still holds. Either way, the new Sonic game will be coming to the three platforms sometime during 2015.

Yeah…..the Wii U…….I’m definitely not getting it on that console. I play the Wii U for the epic Nintendo exclusives, but for any games that are on different consoles, PS4 is the way to go. PS3 is far superior to the Wii U. Not trying to troll because I do like Nintendo, but I’ve always found Sony to be far superior with the actual consoles starting from the Wii era. Nintendo started to aim for gimmicks more and more and then forget about console design and graphics.
I can accept that some Wii U games look better than some PS4 games, but very few.

Not much yet, but look at early Xbox 360 original games compared to later 360 games. The difference is big. Same goes here especially since they just switched from PowerPC to X86 so it well be at least 2 years befor they truly look better

Adventure 2 Battle is the ultimate Sonic game and I’d give it a 9/10. There are very few games that can even hold a candle to it. I’ll admit that they’ve dropped the ball with Colors and Lost World, but we’ll get back to the thick of it with this new game.
Mario games are fun, but I typically give them 7’s.

Don’t forget 06, colors was good(but need more 3D platforming, bosses were weak) generation was great( final boss was awful on the console version(3ds version final boss was better) and something felt missing from the game) sonic episode 1 was okay but not great, but episode 2 wasn’t that great, something just didn’t work. Unleash was good I actually like the werehog stages though they went on for too, long at times. Black Night, and secert rings were awful. The Rush series is good, heroes was great, shadow the hedgehog was stupid, but not awful in certain parts, adventure 2 has aged well, but adventure 1 has aged awfully(BIG THE CAT) voice acting, glitchy as hell, some bad design choices. the classic series was great..the first sonic game was a lie, there is two much waiting but the other two improved on that. I still like sonic but mario got me into gaming(along with DK and punch out). remember we wouldn’t have sonic without a mario.

Well, I agree and disagree on some of those. Sonic 2006 is actually in my top 3. I admit that the glitches and loading times could be a little frustrating, as well as the insanely long levels. That being said, the plot and graphics were so amazing that it still manages to be one of my all time favorite Sonic games.
The problem that I had with Generations, Colors, and Lost World is the fact that they’ve gotten rid of all of the best characters and eliminated any sort of plot. Now we just have Eggman and the Deadly Six. (Who cannot be taken seriously) Sonic 4 Episode 1 just looked a little bland to me so I couldn’t pick that one up. Sonic Unleashed was decent and I did like the final boss, but I only liked the Sonic levels.
The Story games for the Wii were definitely pretty bad. All of the portable Sonic games were fun although it’s a little too hard to level up in Sonic Chronicles.
Shadow the Hedgehog was great since the plot was intense and he deserved his own game, but the multiplayer was a little lazy. Sonic DX has graphics that are infamously hilarious. That’s enough to make the game awesome for me and I just love playing that game. Unlocking Metal Sonic was one of my proudest achievements. Nothing will ever stop Adventure 2 Battle of course.
I still do like Mario a lot, but not as much as Sonic. I did give Mario 64 an 8/10 and that’s my favorite Mario game. Mario Strikers and Mario Power Tennis were also pretty awesome. I collect both franchises and it’s always good to see them. I still like to think that Sonic would have been created at some point

I don’t see why the plots didn’t make sense. They involve cosmic things, but they’re still pretty linear. Shadow’s game dealt with aliens, which was awesome. We also learned about Shadow’s past! In Sonic 2006, we Finally got a new hedgehog into the mix and we got to see Shadow surpass Sonic once again. I dunno, it doesn’t get much better than that as far as plots go

Sega has statedthat sonic sells more on nintendo then any other platformer, plus nintendo and sega have deal, so a contract is involved, lost world was sega’s fault, it seemed rushed in every way. Sonic colors sold more then generation and that was on three platforms.

Either way, the Wii and Gamecube had much bigger install bases than the Wii U. Nobody really owns a Wii U at this point and I don’t think that Sega wants to take the risk. Maybe once Smash Bros comes out, they’ll look at the sales. If it did well, then we’ll get the exclusive. If it bombed…it’s time to hit the panic button

actually it took awhile for gamecube to grow only 21 million units were sold. I’ve seen sales on past systems for sonic games, and nintendo versions always sale the most. Hell unleashed on wii sold 2 million while the other version sold under 1 million. other sonic games have same effect. It does seem nintendo fans are devoted to sonic then ps and xbox fans. Plus sega has always stucked with nintendo especially with sonic.

I know this isn’t a reliable source, but according to VGChartz, Sonic Colours (UK) had outsold Generations on PS3 and 360 seperatly. Colours with 1.56m while Generations had 1.21m (PS3) and 1.07m(360), this alone proves in a way that people that own Nintendo Systems are more likely to get a Sonic Game than those with PS4 and Xbone since there are a bunch of games that are going to make Sonic seem irrevelant on those Systems. Since Sega and Nintendo have a close relationship anyway, it makes sence to put exclusive content on the Wii U version of said game.
