In news that will reassure a few of you, Shigeru Miyamoto has reconfirmed that The Legend of Zelda is still destined for the Wii U. Miyamoto says they wanted to take time out to talk about Star Fox and the titles that are coming this year. Whether or not it will be a joint release with Nintendo’s next hardware which is codenamed NX, remains to be seen.
“We’re here to talk about Star Fox but Zelda is still coming to Wii U,” Miyamoto said through an interpreter, “so don’t worry about that.”
Miyamoto continued, “My thing with E3 is that we always focus on what’s coming out in the immediate future. We have some really great Zelda footage and, at some point we will be showing that off, but not today.”
Ported to NX just like TP.

Agreed. They’ve sunk too much time and effort into the game. Now, I’m willing to bet, that they might not tell us about the NX release right away…they want to milk us for sales. So first it will release for WiiU, THEN, a year later, the special edition (Aka, the real game) will release on the NX. Those that already bought it, will buy it again. Why not take advantage of us Zelda fans? We’re suckers, right?

NX will come out, but people will have so little trust in it that it won’t even sell as much as the Wii U, or will come around Wii U’s sales.

The Wii WAS a raging success. Printed cash. But when it was the Wii’s time to die…Nintendo was too arrogant or stupid to see it was time to move on. So Nintendo let the Wii trash Nintendo’s reputation down to it’s final, slow, agonizing breath…people were tired and frustrated, but gamers were willing to give Nintendo another shot.

Wii’s audience was primarily casuals, that’s why it sold well. Nintendo doesn’t know who their audience is. With Wii they didn’t have enough big games and didn’t have enough first party casual games. Thankfully, 3rd party studios made enough casual games for it. Wii U doesn’t have enough big hardcore games, nor features that gamers want, but it also doesn’t have enough casual games. Who would want to buy a Wii U? Nintendo loyalists, that’s who. They’re pretty much 80% of Wii U’s base. That’s sad. Nintendo needs to decide if they want to appeal to real gamers or they want to appeal to casual gamers and how much.

If GCN had DVDs and all of those million 3rd party games that people back then bought PS2 and Xbox for, it would’ve sold much better. Nintendo fucked up in that way with GCN. That’s the biggest reason it didn’t sell.

Duh. Zelda U was delayed for the 30th Anniversary of Zelda, which is next year, just like Skyward Sword was delayed into the 25th Anniversary.
If the NX is revealed next year it’s not being released until 2017.
Nintendo needs to remedy their home console which is lack luster. From the e3, it’s apparent Nintendo has moves on and is investing their energy and resources in the next system. Would make sense to cut losses on a lackluster system and move on as soon as possible.
System roll outs can’t happen that quickly, especially not when the Wii U is gaining momentum in sales. They’d lose more money when they’ve posted profits recently.
They just announced a brand new Star Fox game for the Wii U, about 30 dollars in Smash DLC, and new Fire Emblem title for Wii U, on top of spending much of their E3 presence on Super Mario Maker. From E3, it’s apparent Nintendo has not moved on and is still investing their energy and resources on the current system.
It’s not gaining momentum. It never had momentum. It got a short spike from splatoon. And that will be over soon enough.

AMD hinted they are working with a new consoles that’s set to be released this coming 2016, since it seems like Nintendo NX is the only console in the making it is safe to assume that AMD is actually referring to the upcoming ‘Nintendo NX’.
Whats funny is if Nintendo never even mentioned NX to begin with and did their usual thing of ALWAYS WORKING ON THE NEXT CONSOLE THE DAY A CONSOLE LAUNCHES IN SECRET then what? Then nobody would be saying anything like this lol.

Iwata used the excuse that they they announced work on the NX to keep people from fearing that them going into mobile was them giving up on home console gaming. But now, I’m starting to think that was a bold faced lie. It wasn’t to elate people’s fears but to subtly hint to 3rd parties that they are going to just release the already announced Wii U games & then move on to the NX afterwards. I hate to say that but the porting of Hyrule Warriors, with all DLC already in the game, to the 3DS & the Nintendo Digital Event are major red flags for me.
It will also “be available on the WiiU” BUT it’s going to be one of the launch titles for the NX, and it will be a much better rendered version. They will launch fall 2016. Chronicles X will be remastered on NX. Calling both now, and that’s IF Nintendo gets their shit together.
If they do that, I’d love to see what Zelda would look like on the NX but a remaster on Chronicles X? No thank you, Nintendo isn’t Sony
