Don’t get too excited but a new Nintendo 3DS firmware update is now available to download. As you probably expected it is simply a stability update and doesn’t appear to include any additional features or new functionality. The firmware is version 9.9.0-26. It’s available to download now manually if you go to system settings > other settings > system update. If you would rather wait then it should automatically come to your system.
Further improvements to overall system stability, system security, and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience

For those who don’t know or are unfamiliar with those who hack things. Sony and Nintendo issue these software updates to stop tools that hack or use hardware to play their software for free. Both Nintendo and Sony say “urther improvements to overall system stability, system security, and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience” all the time word for word when it has to do with stopping piracy.
Good on them and screw those guys that pirate great games because they don’t wanna save up.
I get that money is hard but it is no reason to take away from other people
Would it be too much to ask for Nintendo to officially send everyone Iwata’s Mii through Streetpass/Spotpass? That’s an update I can get behind.

Yeah I checked it five minutes later and realized that it was an official notification
That explains why I had to update my New 3DS before I could check out the DLC page for Smash 4.

Well I’m still waiting for a universal account update, GBA, SNES, N64 VC compatibility for 3DS, login/out account feature in 3DS with multiple profiles.
