Super Mario Maker: Over A Million Levels Have Been Uploaded

Nintendo has confirmed that over one million levels have been uploaded and shared by players in the recently released Super Mario Maker. A statement put out today by the company reads, “Worldwide more than 1 million courses have been created in Super Mario Maker in just a single week! Thank you all for sharing your amazing creations!” That’s not bad for a game that’s been out for just under a week.

    1. While I agree that some have poor design, there is a bunch which are really cool. Maybe it depends how lucky you are digging the multitude of uploaded courses.

  1. a million levels uploaded do not mean a million copies sold
forgive them sasori for they are clowns

  2. they limit you to ten uploads so that is pretty amazing. alot of the courses are like the Mario vs> Donkey Kong Tipping Stars where you start and the level finishes itself… like watching a video of a video game. not fun. no challenge. but for the most part it’s easy to find some challenging courses.

    1. I have a few levels that (I think) are good. I don’t have all of the course ID’s on my phone, but I have these: OoT Water Temple “de-make”: CDDF-0000-0040-16C4, and my first level that I made with a lot of trampolines: E1D9-0000-001C-319D. I also have a couple other levels.

  4. Can confirm that coming soon the Mario Maker app , Nintendo is working all can say at the moment is the app sync with the game…

  5. Only 2 of those are mine.
Only 1 of them is hard.
Yes i took a long time making them.
Perfecting my craft. Super Mario maker is amazing. Glad i picked the game up.

  6. As much as I’m enjoying it, it seems like the kinds of levels that get starred the most are the ones where you just charge through a bunch of enemies with a starman, or “Don’t Move” levels. I mostly try to make levels that feel like they could have been used in actual, Nintendo-designed Mario sidescrollers that are challenging but not overly frustrating and I barely get any plays/stars on them, and their completion rates are really low, like people die once and just give up.

    Anyone else notice the same?

    1. Totally. I feel the same way. I only have two levels out. One of them is just a simple throwback level based on Mario 64. The other one is challenging but beatable and very worthwhile if you stick to it. Still nobody’s cleared the latter and I haven’t gotten a single star on either.

You’ll need to have your flying skills down. I don’t have the other one right now but it’ll be under my name when you look up this one. I’m trying to get more uploaded, just haven’t had the time.
