If you’re fed up of deciding which Wiimote stores your own personal caricature, and not your best friends, then help is at hand via the Japanese branch of the infamous Club Nintendo.
If you can accumulate enough points via purchases of Nintendo products then you’re eligible to receive an exclusive Wii remote battery cover, which features your own personal cartoonist representation of yourself, or someone else.
Unfortunately to become applicable for this enticing incentive you need to be a platinum member of Club Nintendo in Japan, as it’s currently unconfirmed whether we shall be seeing a similar promotion taking place elsewhere.
Just the Japanese getting cool stuff when we don’t. To be honest though it’s not that special, although it would pretty nifty. I’d prefer to paint my wiimote an unusual colour myself.
I’d just take a pencil and an extra-fine tip sharpie and make a drawing myself then! That’s what I was planning to do with an Xbox 360 faceplate until I realized that the price of the 360 was $400. Maybe I could start a little business drawing on battery covers… hmm…
Club Nintendo needs to come to the U.S. they always have cool promotions that we don’t get. It’s not amazing but it would be nice if we had it in the US
