Amazon UK have revealed the spectacular box art for the forthcoming Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for the Nintendo 3DS.
This highly anticipated game is set to be released in the United Kingdom on June 17th and on June 19th in North America. Which box art do you prefer? The North American or the European?
European is just so much nicer looking, glad I live ib the UK :D
What is it with Europeans and superior box art?
While I think that the US one has a nice look, I definitely prefer the European version; lovely imagery of Link riding Epona off on an adventure across the countryside. Reminds me a lot of the the Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks box arts a lot which both featured Link on the boat and train respectively sailing or riding them out on adventures. I like that they are keeping the same style.
The art looks great and I have to admit that I am tempted to get this game, if I get a 3DS.
However, I am unsure if there is any point of getting the game, considering that I have played the same game on the Nintendo 64, will the game provide me with something, which I did not experience from the original, except for the 3D.
Here’s the additional extras : ) http://mynintendonews.com/2011/04/19/nintendo-3ds-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-bonus-content-revealed-includes-super-guide/
Hey you know this is a reinvisioned game not a direct port. You’d be an idiot to cast this game aside because it won’t be the same as the n64.
The one thing the US had over the UK was earlier release date. NOW they have the earlier release date AND the better box art. (Which they usually get anyways) Not fair.
I WANTED TO DEFEND THE U.S. OoT BUT… YOU STOPPED ME IN MY PATH. I LIKE THE U.S. ART, BUT THE U.K. IS BETTER & THEY GET AN EARLY RELEASE
That box art is so cool , i’m going to print it and paste it over my OOT box art when I get it…
I’m liking this one better but only because it is new, I like both of them equally n.n
What the fuck!? This is so much better than the us version, can uk games work on an American 3ds?
No):
I feel cheated. First the UK gets it first, and now they have the better box art. *pouts*
European box-art > Box-art of every single video game released > North American box-art
All the US people complaining about releases should remember the original OOT came out in America 3 weeks before the UK. SMB3 was 18 months before the UK release, just let us have this one!
The box art looks fantastic and is already brining back some good memories.
It’s karma people, the olds days when Europe got like 6 moths of delay and slow down games are over!
good for you Europeans, it’s about time that we stupid americans got the not-so-good box art
Gorgeous!! Europe so often gets the beautiful box art. The golden background has a place in my nostalgia heart, but there’s no question this one is far better.
The European art is way better. I live in North America so I’m definitely jealous.
That makes two of us. Lucky Europeans.
Now if only Skyward Sword had the art style of the UK OOT3D box-art.
Amazon didn’t reveal btw, it was on the UK Club Nintendo site before.
It will suck once this game comes out… knowing that I can’t play it.
Maybe one day, though… the day money grows on trees.
This box art looks awesome!
i live in america… but europe wins this battle… curse your europe, i shall get you back somehow… (its from an abridged if you don’t understand welll its just a joke.)
The UK one is much better. The US one is a little dull
I’m going to print this out and stick it on my American copy’s box XD
uk looks cool but who can deny the gold, a staple in most of zelda releases, would anyone get upset if the us got a shiny gold cartridge with it? and anyway, who buys a zelda game for the boxart, I buy it cause it’s zelda! :)
Not fair. Americans get screwed.

well..its arguable that UK’s box art is original and fresh, and is keeping with the style of the recent Zelda games which shows link in an adventure scene..
however
US’s box art is more of the cover for an epic tale. I much prefer the US’s box-art simply because it looks as if its pulled off the shelves of a Hylan library. in that sense, youre living the epic story written in the book (or cartridge). not to mention that a gold cover only catches the eye more than matte color of the artwork for UK’s. dont get me wrong, its a beautiful picture, but not epic enough for me. like others said though, we’re getting it for the game, not the box art :p
I for one, am happy i’m recieving the US box art.
yeah gold stand out when you’re looking at shelves and doesn’t look like your typical game cover and it really does look epic and also keeps with the plain style that the original cover had of not portraying a scene but rather just the logo and the background.
You know what, after reading what you said, you’re right.
We’re getting a good cover as well!

I don’t much care about the release date but why the flying pancake shits does Europe get better box art?
Tbh, at first I prefered the Euro’ box art, but it looks fanmade. The image of Link is right at the edge and the Zelda logo is off-centre which looks weird, in a bad way. I bet they’ll release these crappy ones and then have a colector’s edition one where they actually put in some effort…which is what I’ll get :D
The European Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks box art logos are also off-centre though. In fact, this is styled almost exactly the same way except that the logo and image of Link and what he’s riding are switched; top left and bottom right respectively.
The Euro box art may be real, but I have my doubts because it is the same as the picture found on the Nintendo Japan Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3DS teaser site:

The UK version is so much better, i hope its the one we get in Australia
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
