    1. Seriously… well, I can’t tell if you’re happy about that or not lol. I’m the latter. I can’t wait for this game (and many others) either but I really can’t stand these reveals. Admittedly, this one’s really not that bad, but I miss the days when a game was announced, you died of anticipation, maybe saw a commercial or read about it in a non-digital magazine, got it when it came out and experienced that honest moment of surprise freshness completely un-spoiled by the evil WWW O_o

    2. thats why you do like me and ignore everything these dumbass magazine companys release, the only trailer ive seen was the one from e3 :) so i still dont even know what that sword is .

  1. If we’re going to be honest it seems kinda of annoying. The story line is probably going to be amazing but let’s be honest Legend of Zelda Games are pretty long and how long are you going to be waving the Wii Wand, honestly they should have made this compatible with the Classic Controller unless it is than I take it back Best Hardcore Nintendo game in along time and may there be many more for the Wii U

      1. You know…I think he is being honest. :/

I think I’ll enjoy swinging my special edition golden WM over button mashing the A button. But that’s just me.

          1. Because the type of control scheme you use determines if you’re hardcore or not…?

Anyone who enjoys a game, one or many, difficult or not, is a gamer. No “hardcore” or “casual” label should apply. We are gamers united! lol That’s all I’ll say on that then. I don’t want to get into a silly argument over it.

            1. I didn’t say people who use the WM aren’t hardcore gamer’s. What I said is that if they want to appeal to the “Hardcore” audience they should give the player an option between the WM and Classic Controller. That’s the only problem with the game that I can see overall I think the game is going to be amazing.

              1. Well how would you fight enemies in the game? You need to make certain movements with your sword for enemies, puzzles, and other things. It wouldn’t be possible on the Classic Controller, unless they wanted to f**k up Link’s sword use and make the game more basic just for the Classic Controller.

                  1. I mean, certain forms of swordplay. Skyward Sword is going to rely on that. OoT’s swordplay was rather basic. Personally, this game feels like a breath of fresh air for new and more fresh gameplay.

                    1. I agree with superfakebros, the intent of the wiimote control with motion plus was to feel as if you were actually wielding a sword. Which then in turn comes new ways to defeat enemies and that makes it more difficult. So your logic of appealing to more hardcore gamers doesn’t make sense me. Zelda has a large fan base and will always have a large fan base. Nintendo has proven that no matter what style and gameplay zelda takes, it can still be great. i would love to wield a sword and take enemies down with my own movements rather mashing the a button which in my opinion is basic. We’re looking for new ways to play not old.

                    2. Somehow the games that have “basic” controllers do MUCH better than games that use the “new” controller. Once again look at Ocarina of Time they could have made it WM compatible but they didn’t and do you know why? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Also the WM will definitely make the game longer and can sometimes be annoying. Sometimes the WM might need to be re-calibrated. Like I’ve said if Nintendo wants to bring back the hardcore gamer’s they need to give them what they want. Zelda does have a huge fan base I definitely enjoy the series’ games but like I’ve said it it ain’t broke DON’T FIX IT.

      1. I have. It’s TP with what the controls SHOULD have been for TP, and with new locations and such. Not enough to make me interested. Games like A Link To The Past broke new ground with the graphics, the story, the gameplay, the interactions, bosses, etc. So did Ocarina of Time. Wind Waker didn’t as much, but it did introduce a clever new art and game style (and sailing, with all it’s mini-game glory, breaking away from the typical horse riding that was becoming stale).

Other than the controls, what is this game doing different? The graphics aren’t much to write home about, the weapons are pretty much the same with a couple of exceptions (or new ways to aim/use them), and the context of the co-star’s relationship is pretty much the same as well (i.e. providing info about things, hints, etc.).

Hopefully with the Wii U, they’ll pull out all the stops and break some new ground again. I haven’t felt about a Zelda game the way I felt with Ocarina SINCE Ocarina, and it’s a damn shame.

        1. i must say i love the graphics in this game, i think it is the most perfect fit for the wii. much more visually stunning than twilight princess (although maybe not as detailed). and first of all we havent seen all the items/weapons, but the beetle seems to open many new ways of solving puzzles (if youve seen the first dungeon), and the whip just might become one of my new favorite items, depending on how it is used. but the main “attraction” or feature of this game is its control scheme. nintendo wanted a real, wiimotion plus one to one zelda game, and also an original zelda title for the wii. and its too bad you werent a giant fan of twilight, because i think its my favorite zelda game. it is most like ocarina, but way deeper in every way. story, graphics, gameplay, puzzles, it was much more challenging and epic.

          1. Your favorite Zelda game? I’ve found that 90% of people who find that to be their favorite game, are under the age of 20. In which case, they can’t ever relate to anything before, say, Ocarina of Time. For most people in that category, TP was actually their first Zelda game, which is a pretty sad statement in and of itself. I can’t take the opinion of someone like that seriously, being that it’s all they know so they’re going to obviously be biased.

But I’m sure everyone and their mother who disagrees with my original point will now come out of the woodwork and profess to me how they are 30 years old and have been playing games since the days of Atari and such, just to hold water to their point.

            1. And many people’s first game was the original on the NES or SNES or the ones on the N64, and they say those are their favorite. You can’t just say their opinion sucks just because you don’t agree.

    1. what the fuck? Have you eevn played Twilight Princess? If so, you’d understand the LARGE difference between it and skyward sword… Besides, What was so special about sailing around for 6 hours in wind waker?

      1. Yes, I’ve obviously played Twilight Princess. And no, I’m not a young punk who doesn’t know shit about shit; I’ve been playing video games since you were probably still a sperm in your daddy’s sack. Not only that, but I design games as well. I know my shit. It’s the same cake, with different icing. You can “ZOMG YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVEN’T PLAYED IT AND U DUN KNOW NE FING!” all you want, though.

        1. well if you could do better you should apply to nintendo and work on the next zelda….and by the way ive been playing videogames for a long time also and i think this looks a good bit different from tp although not much has been released on the game yet

            1. I’d love to see what kind of zelda you would make. i’ve enjoyed every one of them to this day. I’ve never been disappointed.

            2. I hate people who think they’re better because they’re older. Read your comments up there and see how stupid you look.

  2. Tee-hee… “Master”…reminds me of the twin dancers from Majora’s Mask when they praise Link for his dancing. :3

      1. it wouldnt make sense for minish cap to be first because in the begining of minish cap they said tht “the hero of men came from the SKIES and used the pikori blade/master sword to defeat evil” in skyward sword hyrule is full of evil and also in skyward sword link comes from the skies to hyrule to defeat the evil also the skyward sword is the master sword so this is the first game of the timeline.

  3. Eldin Volcano… Eldin… In Twilight Princess Eldin province had Death Mountain and Kakariko village inside of it. Death Mountain is a volcano. This now makes sense to me. :D

    1. your a fuckinf moron if you think playing with the wii controller and nunchuck is better than the classic controller, try playing smash and prove me wrong

      1. But this game is MEANT for motion-controls. The motion controls are for your sword and items. You can’t really use motion controls for a fighting game, besides you can’t swing in specific ways with the Classic Controller so it would be difficult to translate controls from motion to the Classic Controller.

      2. hey buddy, it’s depending on the game. Oh, and the wii remote and nunchuck is more comfotrable then the classic controller, xbox 360 controller, and ps3 controller. Yup, I said it.

  4. OMG the music!!! It’s fantastic. Also, this is rather reminiscent of TP for me, just how she pops out and the fact that it’s called ELDIN Mt.

  5. Eldin volcano??? so Death Mountain?? thats pretty interesting….. i already got my preorder payed off so i cant wait to see more

  6. looks friggin awsome, my number one game of the year, only thing that worries me though, is that eldin volcano looks to be only accessable from the air, therefore no “hyrule” exploration. still, cant wait for this game!

  7. OK. Spoilers starting to appear… plese limit them, for others. As for me, see ya somtime after I beat Skyward Sword!!! :)

  8. I think this game will be amazing. I would love some eventual Hyrule exploration, however. That being said, if the sky is the only place to explore with all those islands and stuff I’ll still be satisfied.
