    1. UGH! CAPCOM MAY HAD ITS PROBLEMS BUT THEY AREN’T GREEDY. THE TSUNAMI AFFECTED THEM SECOUNDLY THEY HAVE TO MAKE MONEY BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF ”LOYAL” GAMERS BUY USE GAMES SO CAPCOM HAS TO MAKE A PROFIT. LISTEN ITS NEW YEARS NEAR AS LONG AS THEY’RE WILLING TO MAKE A MEGAMAN I FORGIVE THEM AND I’LL ONCE AGAIN TRUST THEM 100% BECAUSE AM A TRUE LOYAL FAN. BESIDES CAPCOM MAKES BETTER FUNNER GAMES W/MORE CONTENT THAN NINTY GAMES AND ANOTHER THING W/O CAPCOM 3DS,GAMECUBE AND SNES WOULD HAVE FAIL.
PPL. PLEASE FORGIVE CAPCOM AND LETS UNITE 4 MEGAMAN!! CAPCOMS JUST TRYING TO RECOVER MONEY FROM TSUNAMI.

    1. You do realize what a prototype is, right? It’s a playable engine of the game; it wouldn’t be anything more than a test level where you can mess around with the gameplay mechanics. There would be no levels, no story, no progression, and probably barely any music or sounds.

      1. YOU do realize that when he says “Prototype”, he’s talking about the demo/prequel to MML3 that Capcom was planning to release to the e-Shop to see how well it did to determine if they were going to make MML3 or not, right? But they cancelled it before they released MML3:Prototype, even though it was already finished.

    1. No I think we have enough retro-styled Classic series Mega Man games for now. I’d rather they make a Mega Man X9 instead.

          1. I’d love another Megaman X game. To be frank, I was never really interested in the ZX series, and it’s 2011 (almost 2012), I don’t mind a MM11 game, but retro games should be easy enough to do that it can come out as a DLC pack on xbox live, PSN, Wii Shop/eShop, while they work on a full fledged entry. Maybe even work on a new style of game for the franchise set in the megaman or X world, that way they can reinvent the franchise (like legends), but put it in a familiar world to pull in the fans.

  1. I really couldn’t have cared less about Mega Man Universe.

But Mega Man Legends 3 is another story altogether.

The community invested alot of emotion into it because they really wanted to see it come together. In the end, Capcom’s “apology” felt like they were blaming the community for their lack of involvement. I know I didn’t put a nearly as much involvement into it as some had… but I still felt like I was contributing when it came to pitching ideas.

Disappointment can come at any time from any company that you put your heart out to. I’ve never felt betrayed by Nintendo because they’re constantly putting out games I like. Capcom on the other hand seems to be waning greatly with their lack of Mega Man games.

    1. Nintendo never did squat to us man they dont hand out games they come out sooner thats it i want legends 3 as well but thats too bad u say that nintendo betrayed you cause they are kicking ass right now with skyward sword

        1. @Anonymous @HealyHQ
Thank you very much for reading that too.

@Jake As I said, Nintendo has NEVER betrayed my trust in them. I OWN Skyward Sword, I got it on day one in the bundle because I have utter respect for Nintendo.
But if you can’t read… then you really need to re-evaluate your stance on any forum or comment system.

  2. megaman is one of the series i actually like and i mostly like battle network and starforce and a little bit of the rest i only like certain series and stuff and megaman is my favorite though

      1. Battle Network is the ONLY reason why im with Nintendo in the first place. I have always been thinking about switching to sony but my childhood memories of Megaman is giving me hope in Nintendo. BRING BACK BATTLE NETWORK!!!!! LONG LIVE BATTLE NETWORK!!!!

  3. No shet but what they really mean to say is, ” It’ll take time to rebuild bridges with megaman fans because we are STILL all up in our feelings after Keiji Inafune left us, such a GREAT company blah blah blah salt blah blah blah we’re so great blah blah blah Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom turbo HD remixed edition BLAH”

Really, get over yourselves Capcom. That new Resident Evil Revelations-although spectacular based on reviews and other things- won’t be enough to save yourselves. RELEASE that prototype and give fans- By this i mean true fans of the game, I only recently became a fan- the game they’ve been waiting 20 years – I believe- for AND then release the full game. Take a page out of Nintendo’s strategy with Kid Icarus Uprising and just release the doggone game.

    1. I agree. Some of us have been waiting for this game for a LONG time, and I for one know I was ecstatic about it’s announcement. I used to follow every rumor about remakes, sequels, etc. into the legends series, and then they just go and cancel it? That’s bullshit.

      1. Yea I feel your pain bro. Idk what their problem is. They tried to say there was not enough support for the game which was a huge lie. On other forums I’d always see people buzzing about the MML3 prototype and i figured I’d give the game a shot. But Capcom’s in their feelings right now, so Idk when that’ll happen.

And not one but TWO games, sheesh they’re not even being discreet about it. A new megaman game should’ve already came out by this time now, it’s been far too long.

  4. Megaman X: Command mission for ps2. Remake it for everyone. It’s like square Enix made a final fantasy game but used megaman :) was so fun.

    1. 2characters for only $49.99! Mega man and a pile of shit! Yay for dlc! Comes with a single oxycodone pile and a hammer. Pre order now!! RAAAGGGGGGEEE!!!!!

      -Capcom™

  5. I’ve said it before, in writing to the company no less, I’ll say it again.

Until DmC is wiped from the records and MML3 is brought back, Capcom does not get one red cent of my money.

      1. I’m aware, and I am prepared to never purchase another Capcom product again.

I don’t expect any progress for this year or next year… But If by 2013, DmC has been treated like DMC2, and Capcom actually listens to Megaman Fans, there’s still hope.

And if not, I save 400 bucks a year or so.

  6. Honestly how hard is it for them to just finish Legends >_>
Pretty sure thats the main reason (or at least it is for me) that the fans are pissed the f— off at them.

  7. Mega Man has gone downhill. I liked Mega Man 9 but other than that what can I say? This article noted the cancellations of both Mega Man Universe and Mega Man Legend 3. But anyone else remember the cancellation of the Anniversary Collection for the GBA? It was supposed to have all the Gameboy Mega Mans on one cart. Not only that but no Mega Man in Marvel vs Capcom 3? Seriously? There’s DLC for a skin for Zero but that’s weak. Keiji Inafune was smart to leave when he did. I remember getting 4 Resident Evil back in 2005 thinking Capcom was making a come back but in the past 3 years I can’t think of any major stand-outs. Last game Capcom made that was good was Zack and Wiki. I own a PS3 as well as a Wii and DS but nothing looks promising in Capcom’s future esp. in the realm of Mega Man. They really messed up cancelling Mega Man Universe.

  8. No, no, Capcom, tell me…what happened to Megaman X series? X not even in the endings of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 just the normal megaman, I wanna know what’s happening with X? damn.

  9. I want Breath of Fire revived as well…it’s not Megaman, but it’s one of those series that Capcom phased out that I really loved. Actually, it was my favorite Capcom title.

  10. Yea Capcom is unforgivable at this point. i was expecting a new megaman starforce game and a new megaman zx game. those are arguably two of the best portable megaman series ever made, well in my opinion. Capcom is really letting the ball roll further away.

  11. well, everyone has been really torn up about the recent f*ck over of megaman. Myself included. I grew up playing the original legends on the playstation 1. It was honestly my favorite megaman game that i have ever had the chance to play. Along with megaman x on the gameboy color. Seeing a new megaman x game would help lessen the blow of losing megaman legends 3, but still; Capcom really did a dick move by denying their fans the game they have been waiting forever to play. I hope that people like me keep sending letters to capcom and maybe they will understand what a major f*ck up they did. The only real way to make peace and bury the hacthet with the fans is by finishing that game and making it worthy of being a megaman title.

  12. Plain and simple. Come out with Mega Man 11 so we can have that to play while you are making a retro Mega Man X9 like the super nintendo games X1,X2,X3 now that be amazing :)

  13. (small tiny voice, barely inaudible over the Megaman outcry) Don’t forget the Gyakuten series! Some of us want to be able to play Gyakuten Kenji 2 in English…

    1. I’m with you. I’m not really a Megaman player, but I keep holding onto a faint light of hope that they will release Gyakuten Kenji 2…

  14. You want to rebuild the bridge… give me monster hunter 3gs and MH 4 world wide…. other than that you can eat a dick…

  15. Battle Network 3 (White version) and 5 (Team blues) were the only Mega Man games I ever got the chance to play. When I heard that Capcom was developing MML3, I thought “Cool. A follow-up to something I missed out on as a child. I’m definitely picking this up!”. Then came the cancellation. Screw Capcom, man.

    Son

    I

    am

    disappoint.

  16. They’re probably going to release hundreds of resident evil titles now, not because it’ll cheer us up, but probably so we’ll forget they ever did something else… I miss old survivor horror style, since resident evil 5 nothing makes any real sense anymore..

  17. Capcom I’ve been loyal to you ever since the beggining but you pulled off some bullcrap..release MML3 or start and actually finish a new project I don’t even care if its a remake, your mascot has been out of the spotlight long enough.
