Nintendo Video is ready to launch a fresh lineup of great new shows for the fall. The free video application for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems will debut new short-form videos starting Nov. 1 that will continue into 2014. Five new series have been slated, including two featuring The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and Pikmin 3.
Owners who have downloaded the Nintendo Video application from the Nintendo eShop will automatically receive the new shows on their device, including:
- The Legend of Zelda: The Misadventures of Link: This original series of comedic shorts shows Link, the series’ star, in a new and hysterical light. His surroundings will be familiar to fans of the series, since the shorts are based on The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD game for the Wii U console.
- Pikmin Nature Documentaries: These “nature documentaries” explore the wonderful world of the tiny Pikmin. The animations, highlighted by dramatic voiceover work, are a tongue-in-cheek take on safari nature shows.
- Bravest Warriors: The latest hit show created by Pendleton Ward, the mind behind Adventure Time, follows four teenage heroes-for-hire as they warp through galaxies to save adorable aliens and their worlds using the power of their emotions. The series is produced by Frederator Studios and launched on the Cartoon Hangover channel on YouTube. New episodes of Bravest Warriors will appear every Friday on Nintendo Video.
- Wildheart Riukiu: This new series of 3D shorts comes from the creator of Meat or Die, which has already amassed more than 5 million views on Nintendo Video. Wildheart Riukiu incorporates charming 16-bit graphics with some not-so-charming, but hilarious, characters. Think ninja puppets.
- Bee and PuppyCat: A Cartoon Hangover Shorts fan favorite, this two-part series by Natasha Allegri follows Bee, an out-of-work 20-something who has a life-changing collision with a mysterious creature she names PuppyCat.
“This latest set of great new shows for Nintendo Video gives fans a unique way to enjoy two of their favorite Nintendo franchises, in addition to hand-picked series from some of the most imaginative and successful creators in the world of animation,” said Tony Elison, Nintendo of America’s senior director of Business Development.
Fred Siebert, founder and executive producer of Frederator Studios, producer of the new Bravest Warriors series, said, “Cartoon Hangover is honored to be part of Nintendo’s entry into the new golden age of TV innovation.”

o.o
Wow, I can’t wait to see Bee and PuppyCat and Bravest Warriors in 3D.
If only I could buy them and keep them on my 3DS…
Btw, didn’t Miyamoto previously say the Pikmin videos were supposed to come out before the launch of Pikmin 3? :/ I was kinda scared for a month or two or three there that they got cancelled…
This really grabbed my attention. I’d also like it if more than 4 videos were available at a time.
I freaking love Bravest Warriors. CATBUG FTW!!!
Oh, ok. The Pikmin one sounds creative and potentially hilarious.
At first I was like: Sweet! A new Zelda and Pikmen show! Then I saw like:
WHAT BRAVEST WARRIORS AND BEE AND PUPPY CAT???? AMAZING!!
Hopefully Link will talk, I want to hear “excuse me, princess!” again!
they can subtlety implement voice through these videos for an epiiic HD LOZ where we can hear him talk :D
It’s good to see Nintendo help Cartoon Hangover’s shows gain some publicity.
That’s an awesome lineup of shows!
yea It’s nice to see Cartoon Hangover get this attention with some pretty fun shows, bravest warriors is a little wacky but it kinda of grows on you..
Bee and Puppycat is just awesome loved that story section in regards to puppycats alleged history
The Pikmin Documentary sounds interesting
It would be nice of some of this could get on TV. Even a cable channel.
While I am not interested in these I’m curious why they aren’t making these available on Wii U as well. They should be doing all they can to get people using their new system as the 3DS is doing great already.
Holy SHIT i never expected Cartoon Hangover’s cartoons on nintendo video
That’s a nice way to advertise those games, since the 3DS install base is pretty big. But still, a lot of the people who owns a 3DS don’t use any aplications, neither streetpass nor nintendo video.
At first I was like “Zelda vids? Awesome!”
Then I was like “Oh, snap! Bravest Warrios?!
And then I was all “BEE AND PUPPY CAT?”
And then I shed tears of happiness.
Woah, woah, woah, hold up. Bravest Warrors? Is that in 3D? I’M CATBUG!!!
POKEMON! WHAT A REAL TRAINER LOOKS LIKE!
Hopefully, this will make the Nintendo Video channel worth a damn. Nothing on there but the same Shaun the Sheep/sightseeing/Xtreme Sports videos for about a year now.
