US retailer GameStop has updated its database and has listed the forthcoming Super Smash Bros title for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS with a possible release date of April 8th 2014. Nintendo has yet to confirm a release date for the highly anticipated title, but we may see some footage at this year’s VGX Awards in December.

The rumored Mario Kart 8 Release Date is April 12, 2014 so This, in tandem with MK8 would create something huge for the Wii U. I hope they give us at least one month to enjoy Mario Kart 8

I hope it’s true. These AAA games need to be out soon. But not at the cost of quality. I don’t want them to be rushed. Hopefully Nintendo can develop the games to near perfection AND get them out within a reasonable time frame. That would be awesome.
I think the reason why smash was show last e3 was cuz it was ready for a release in the first half of next year but that’s just my opinion.
Didn’t super smash bros meelee take like 8 months to be developed? And nintendo started making ssb4 like a month before e3. And meelee was loved by so many people. What im trying to say here is that maybe they could pull it of in just a couple of months.

X and Y are great but ALBW literally changes everything about game design is a Zelda game, the amount if freedom you have is amazing, dungeons aren’t tied to being beat in order or even beaten in a linear fashion, first time ive suspended a dungeon half way through to get a specific item to then get more side quest stuff, not tying an item to a dungeon makes puzzles more interesting and the dungeon item is something you don’t NEED but will help you, the game doesn’t hold your hand in anyway, i MISSED items, and another one i didn’t get till the end of the game simple because i didn’t realise what i was supposed to do, which is way better, the music is amazing, it’s just flawless, it’ll win. If it doesn’t, then…it’s a joke that it doesn’t, but i wouldn’t take it too seriously because it’s the VGA’s (“VGX” now, because..why not), half of the nominees are fucking awful, Tomb Raider is up for GOTY…what? And games like Zelda and Killer Instinct don’t even have a nomination in Best Original Soundtrack.
The world is not fair if it was Nintendo would have been dominating in sales and Microsoft would have never entered the gaming business. How can people supper products that’s goes against their rights has consumers and they take it with a smile is beyond me.

TheDragon24 is right. Look at ALBW’s scores then look at Pokmn X and Y. ALBW has been praised by EVERYONE! X and Y decent scores, but not GOTY scores. ALBW is probably the best 3DS game to have come out since Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus and Shin Megami Tensei IV. Maybe even better than those 3.
X and Y won’t win handheld of the year, because a lot of reviewers only gave it a B+…. it just goes to show the bias of the industry towards anything that has more than 2 sequels. Sequels are viewed as “rehash” even if they are brilliant continuations of a franchise. (sigh) Mario, Smash Bros, Donkey Kong, and Metroid come to mind. Mario has been criticized by reviewers for being “rehash.” Even some of his platformers got less than a 9. NSMB on DS got an 89. NSMBU got an 84, Mario Parties frequently fall in the 70’s. Mario Tennis Open got a 69!
3D World happened to break the curse, but I am sure the next Mario game to come out will sell well through nostalgia and tank in the ratings. It’s easy to pick on Mario, he’s everywhere.

Most Mario sports games are not rehash, Mario Party games are, NSMB is not though.
NSMB was released on 4 different consoles. DS, 3DS, Wii and Wii U. Rehash would be releasing a similar game on a single console, say if we got NSMB and NSMB 2 on the Wii as a stand alone. Just the switch of the consoles provides a great enough change to the games formula. DS and Wii games are different experiences. NSMB 2 on 3DS had everything redesigned to fit the “gold coin” theme and NSMB Wii U refined the whole series and was the best one yet, plus NSMBU had DLC! With Luigi as the main character and it just so happens to be one of the best valued DLC’s ever created.
Do they all have the same art style?-Yes, but each one has improved graphics over the other
Do they all have the same main characters and story?-Yes, but that has been the same for ever, so if you go by story then Galaxy, Sunshine and 64 would all be rehash too.
I don’t really care if X/Y wins or if ALBW wins, as long as they both get Nintendo that award its all good I love them all, I can get enough of Zelda, ive played Ocarina of Time 3D at least 4 times, and ive put in over 300 hours on Pokémon Y and about 56 on X, anything on the 3DS is solid gold
Keep in mind that there may be a shitload of unlockable characters this time around. Besides, it’s easy for Sakurai to reveal veterans than newcomers since their models are easy to redesign and not having to start from scratch. Just give him some time until next year when the reveals get even better. It took until 6 months before Brawl’s supposed release (before it was delayed) until they started to reveal newcomers on the Dojo.

You’re right! Battle Revolution did suck, that is why I want a Pokemon Stadium/ Battle Revolution crossover so we get the best parts of both games. I want the minigames and colosseum battles from Battle Revolution (you know, with Gym leaders and Elite Four members from the handheld games), but also the good stuff from Battle Revolution… basically the ability to customize your character and battle online with Pokemon you trained from X and Y.
Hopefully Smash Bros is fantastic. If it is better than Brawl and Melee then it deserves to win GOTY for 2014.
