Ubisoft’s Wayne Greenwell has told MCV that the company fully expects Watch Dogs to become one of the best-selling new IPs in recent memory. Greenwell believes that the game will prove to be as popular as blockbuster titles such as FIFA and Call of Duty.
“Excitement for the product remains incredibly high and gamers are desperate to finally get their hands on the title. This is reflected in our pre-orders which are hugely promising for a new IP and highlights the enthusiasm that has surrounded the product since it was first unveiled to the world.”
“With Watch Dogs, Ubisoft is building a new blockbuster brand to stand alongside other top tier triple-A titles and we expect it to be not only one of the best selling new IPs in recent memory, but also one of the best selling titles throughout 2014.”
Watch Dogs seems more suited for movies than video games to me.

Sunshine didn’t appeal to me @ all.

I’m interested in Watch_Dogs Wii U. I’m interested in Child of Light & the possible release of a new Prince of Persia (had the trilogy on GCN, Forgotten Sands on Wii (too casual), & The Fallen King on DS). But that’s all I’m interested in from Ubisoft…so far. I did buy (& enjoy) ZombiU & Rayman Legends (even played them @ a Wii U event before launch).
I played AC II. Boring, unfocused, & a mockery of PoP.
Aside from Prince of Persia, what I really want from Ubisoft is Red Steel 3, another Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars (such underrated, turn-based strategy RPG goodness), a new Buck Bumble, maybe Beyond Good & Evil 2, & for them to publish games like No More Heroes. I guess it’d be impossible if they made a Batman game like Vengeance.
But hey, Ubisoft caters to the twins & PC crowd (triplets?) & are more concerned w/ hardcore audiovisuals than gameplay, photo-realism & cut-scenes than gameplay & æsthetics. Or is it their non-gaming investors pulling the cord on what Ubisoft & most 3rd parties used to create?

“CoD is no longer a big game” – it was the #2 best selling game last year. Only beaten by the crazy sales of GTA V, which is the best selling game in GTA history (and maybe even video game history). Internet may hate. but GTA V is wildly popular. So is CoD. Last year was a DOWN year for CoD, and it STILL was by far the #2 selling game moving over 16 million units.

Yeah, so far the planning stage has taken me at least 3 years and I was waiting for UE4 before doing anything so I’ll be developing it for another 3 years and should be out on Steam OS, Linux and Mac, following a year later will be the PS4 and Wii U exclusive versions.
It’s a Open Galaxy game in which what ever shop, building, planet or even ocean you can go there. I’ll be updating the game with new shops to access and new Planets + Aliens to visit and interact with. The game is called “Galactic Express” and it’s inspired by Futurama and… it’s gonna be for Free, even the Alpha will be free :)

The Xbox brand to me is a dead one and I think a lot of indies would agree with me.
Wii U is great because I can use the Wii U gamepad for unique controls for my game, plus, the power of the system (Though not as powerful as the PS4) is still pretty good despite what trolls want you to think.
PS4 is another great console that gives me the opportunity to use the camera and the light on the back, along with the gyroscope inside the controller, not forgetting the touch pad and the ability to have really amazing graphics.
Steam OS… well it’s just good because it means I won’t have to support Microsoft anymore.
Mac and Linux I believe need more love in terms of gaming on them because so many engines (Including the UE4 I’m using for the game) support them now.
I know, I’m just telling you to prepare for the lulz he’ll give you. Also, interesting game you have there too.

Nintendo obviously does not milk anything besides New Mario Bros. which is the ONLY exception to that case.
And even though it was milked, all of the games in the series were released on different consoles…

People have probably said this to you before already, kiddo, but fuck it. The Gamepad isn’t forced on 3rd parties. They can just as easily make the game rely on the Wii U Pro Controller. Not to mention they don’t even have to use the extra features of the Gamepad if they don’t want to. There’s plenty of games on the Wii U that don’t even rely on the Gamepad’s extra features like the gyroscope, motion control, etc. And the off-tv play feature is automatic for the most part.
Really? Because what I’m seeing the Wii U is destroying the Xbox One in terms of overall sales, hell the PS4 is fucking tea bagging the Xboned

They took 2-3 years to develop that game if they plan a sequel they better started the development 6 months ago. I haven’t play Assassin’s creed 3 and Assassin’s creed 4 but it’s known fact the quality was not there after assassin’s creed 2 – Revelation.
