Guillemot says that the lofty goal has been set because of the incredibly popular Assassin’s Creed franchise. Watch Dogs is due for release for the majority of consoles on May 27th. Ubisoft sure did. Every time sickr reminds us that Watch_Dogs is coming at a later date compared to the other games, I become more angry & less likely to buy the damn thing on day 1 for Wii U to the point I’m prepared to wait to buy it for 20 bucks as it’s a used game.

On Amazon, the Wii U version got more preorders that both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. It may as well be high than our predictions. Though, there is room for failure, so I’ll go in with half a doubt.

Well, as far as I can remember, just last week or a few weeks prior, many on here were commenting about wanting to get games like Kingdom Hearts HD, GTA V, Persona 4, and Destiny on the Wii U. There have been other games requested as well.
Either way, many people are fickle or have double standards when it comes to the late port issue. Not saying it’s all Nintendo fans – just an observation of some on this site and others.
Those games were never announced for the Wii U in the first place. Nor did their developers ever promise those games to the Wii U. Unlike Watch_Dogs which was announced for the Wii U. So it’s not a fair comparison at all, making your point a bit biased.

You are right, those games were never announced for Wii U, but my point stands the same. If it doesn’t bother people for getting one of those games as a late port, why should it bother them when it comes to Watch_Dogs?
The same goes for Need for Speed, Batman, and Mass Effect for example. Many fans (right here on this site) blame the fact that they were late ports on the Wii U for reasons they didn’t want to get them.
Still is a double standard.
Maybe because unlike the developers for those games, Ubisoft actually screwed us over just so they could “make more money quicker” by finishing the other versions first. Good business decision or not, it’s a very bad moral decision.

Different type of game with less appeal to the masses (which is a shame, since it’s a great game). The core Rayman series never was a huge seller, even less when it came out amid larger releases.

I don’t think Watch Dogs would be a good fit for the 3DS at all, but I agree that Ubisoft could make a lot of money with the 3DS. They just have to actually put some effort into their games. The only 2 3DS games Ubisoft has made so far are both really shitty Rayman ports.

They certainly can’t just “port” it over from the home console build. But, if they built a Watch Dogs from the ground up specifically for the 3DS, they would make a hell of a lot of money on it. 3DS games sell like cray cray.

Just expect a PS3 version with some better lighting, perhaps some better textures. That should be the Wii U version.

We didnt. All we wanted was to have and share the same experience of ports like these with everyone else. But instead like most typical 3rd parties, Ubisoft pulled another bird flipping dick move coincidentally on Wii U ONLY so fans stopped caring and yes, some of us wished Watchdogs to fail just to see Ubisoft fail and look so stupid like what happened with Rayman Legends which explains why they also ported to PS4/One. They originally delayed it from Wii U launch for PS3/360 which they only shot themselves in the face, TWICE, when they released it too close to GTA5 which most of their intended targets on those platforms flocked to GTA5 instead.
So they you go. We wanna watch Ubisoft fail with Watchdogs since I see other gamers from PS/Xbox platforms stopped caring after they delayed it many times so its not just Nintendo side who cease from caring to buy the game.
