Mario Kart 8’s dominance in the Japanese chart last week was certainly a moment to remember, cementing the game’s success by becoming the best-selling Wii U title in Japan from just its first week. According to sales tracker Media Create, Nintendo’s flagship title sold approximately 81 per cent of its initial shipment.
The data sales tracker company also says that though Nintendo releases consistently great titles throughout the year, consumers may delay purchasing the home console until the summer season. With Mario Kart 8 still selling well within the UK, we can only hope it remains top dog this week, along with stable sales for the Wii U.

I had it for like 2 days and it got old fast. I’m still playing Mario Kart 8, and for a “Rehash” it’s actually fucking amazing both in the graphics and gameplay.
played WD for nearly 2hrs and just didn’t bond with it, ill try again but Mario is the winner. mirror tracks are all that’s left :)

I found weird some analyst announce a rise of xbox1 after watch dog release and after Mario kart 8 being release. For a personal and bias point of view I don’t think xbox1 doing that well and they are just a bit behind Nintendo.
I think the Wi U will get noticed and more causual gamers will want the wii U for the price and the games. My wife who is not a casual gamer love that game she never been so enthusiastic about a video game. I think nintendo starts to turn the thing right and they must to have a solid plan for E4, 2014 is live or dead year for the wii U. Hopefully Iwata won’t have much issue at shareholder meeting

I heard Mario Kart 8 sales are still holding their own. MK8 is still in second place (only because Watchdogs is in first place and it is multiplat).
The sad thing about Mario Kart games is that they’re over with in no time. I’m already on the mirror courses, and once I get the gold on all of those, I’ll never play again. The sad reality. It’s no use playing online because everyone totally CHEATS!
I don’t cheat… and I can win races online. I guess you just have to get better. By the way, a gold trophy is easy… a 3 stars gold trophy on 150cc and Mirror Mode is much harder.
