Here’s A Look At The Mighty Sheik In Hyrule Warriors

Nintendo Japan and Koei Tecmo have posted a new Hyrule Warriors trailer this time featuring Sheik from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. You can watch Sheik go to town on the legions of enemies with the Goddess Harp. Sheik also seems extremely fast, so dispatching those pesky enemies should come as no problem.

  1. The Wii U is a great system and many Microsoft and Sony fanboy bash it because it’s from the Nintendo and because they think power means everything for a console? My Wii U is my primary console and sometime in the future I’m planning on buying a PS4 and even if I do, I’m not going to treat my Wii U as a secondary console, it’ll be on par when it comes to gameplay.

  2. So are they playing on “easy” in the video? The enemies don’t even attack, even if they’re right next to Sheik! If it’s realy that easy than I dot want to play this game. To anybody who’s ever played Dynasty Warriors, does it ever get difficult?

    1. Yep. It’s on easy mode. The game has 4 difficulties: easy, normal, hard, & chaos (if I’m remembering correctly.) On Chaos mode, the enemies health is pretty damn high and they attack you like crazy to the point that if you get surrounded, you’ll barely be able to get in some of your own attacks as the game has a knockback feature. Of course, there are certain character types that are immune to this feature but you still have to keep an eye on your health.

    2. From what I’m told they are playing on the easiest difficulty.
I’ve only ever played 1 Dynasty Warriors game, and it started out medium and eventually become moderately hard. It wasn’t as hard as, say, Zelda 2 or OoT, but it wasn’t particularly easy. But, if they have multiple difficulties, I’m sure everyone can find a happy medium or challenge themself.

        1. It was just a point of reference, trekToons. OoT is one of the more challenging Zelda titles (behind Zelda 1 and 2, of course). Dare I even mention Shadow Link in the Water Temple? Or the horse course/race to unlock Epona? What about sneaking by the guards in Zelda’s field/castle? Tricky stuff, if you ask me.

          1. yeah haha I guess it did have it’s tricky moments. But the first two instalments were tricky all the way till the credits.

  3. Sweet! I’m glad Sheik was created to be a ninja like Kunoichi, Nene, Kotaro Fuma, & Hanzo Hattori. I also like how the voice actor’s voice is very androgynous because of the fact Sheik is male but it’s really Zelda in disguise.

    1. Least that’s the case in Ocarina of Time. For all we know, this Sheik is his very own person in this game instead of Zelda disguised as a male Sheikah.

        1. Look at the male ninjas (Kotaro Fuma & Hattori Hanzo) for Samurai Warriors. Koei Tecmo gives their male ninjas a bit of a feminine body when it comes to their Musou/Warriors franchise. The slenderness of their bodies is perfect for ninja when they want to use stealth. The slender you are, the better you are at hiding.

  4. Sheik seems awesome. I love how she uses her harp to play the spiritual songs from OoT and summons the elements of the various temple to help her. Though, I can’t help but notice that the Requiem of Spirit and Minuet of Forest are missing. Does this mean, perhaps, that Saria and Nabooru are still be announced?

In any case Sheik is totally badass.

    1. Sheik is actually meant to be a he as Zelda disguised herself as a male Sheikah. So when referring to Sheik, you should use terms that mean male.

  5. Here’s hoping for a VS mode. You pick your main roster character and army (guards, stalfos, skulltulas, gorons etc. ) and go head to head with another player and his/her army. That would make me buy this first day. I’ve never played DW but I’m sure I’ll get around to get this.

    1. Great idea. I like it. The VS mode in Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper sucks because it’s trying to be a fighting game when it should be more like the actual main game. I hate online modes that differ so greatly from the gameplay of the main game.

    1. Well he is supposed to be a male Sheikah, after all. It’d be weird & out of character to give him boobs. lol

  6. I hate the way ninjas run, with their arms back and head forward. They look SO stupid. I laugh when I see the Ninja Turtles doing that in the cartoon.

But….why is Sheik running that way? She’s not a Ninja….is she? It’s just Zelda after all.

    1. It’s not really stupid when you think about it. It’s actually smart to run like that if you have weapons in your hands. Imagine running with your arms flinging around while carrying a katana or knife. It’s an accident waiting to happen.

    2. Oh & Sheik has always felt like a ninja to me with using deku nuts like smoke bombs. And Super Smash Bros Melee made it even more clear that he was a ninja with his moveset.
