Nintendo has confirmed that Fire Emblem will launch later today, August 21st, in Europe on the Wii U Virtual Console service. Known as Fire Emblem: The Sword of Flame in Japan, the tactical role-playing title is simply titled Fire Emblem in Western territories. It is also the second entry in the series to be developed for Game Boy Advance. Nintendo has yet to confirm when the game will arrive on Wii U in North America. The latest release in the series is Fire Emblem Awakening, which is available for Nintendo 3DS.

I have never played a game from the Fire Emblem series. Difficulty is Easy or Hard?
If you want everyone to survive throughout the game, it can be very hard if you aren’t good at strategy. But there are difficulty settings for the Fire Emblem series, so it’ll also depend on the difficulty you choose.
I like that it can be challenging. I might just pick it up if it comes to NA.
I’d advice you to get Fire Emblem Awakening for 3DS. One of the best 3DS games there are!

Nah, they just slowly leak the games out so people will be able to look at everything as they release to maximize profit per game. If the VC got tons of games, the majority would be drowned out by the NES and SNES classics. I don’t know why they’re not doing N64, but it might have something to do with licensing. What I would give for Banjo or DK64 on my Wii U. Maybe they just realized those games don’t look good on TVs anymore and need some work before they can be released. It’s not a problem for an 8 or 16 bit game where they use pixel art already, but once you get into the 3D models, the older games show their age. Or maybe they’re just planning more HD remakes. Who really knows, it’s Nintendo
