Yesterday we heard Nintendo are planning to release day one DLC for Fantasy Life which is called Origin Island. However, it’s been revealed that the DLC has been cut from the Japanese version of the game. The western release of Fantasy Life is based on the re-release called Fantasy Life Link which included the Origin Island content. Fantasy Life launches in the United States on October 24th.

This is not the case. The DLC content is DLC content in Japan. Difference is that Nintendo moved the online multiplayer from the DLC content to the main game.

The Link patch WAS DLC in Japan. It’s not cut from the game at all.
Link cost 2,000 yen if you owned the base game and 4,980 for the full package. This is over exaggeration.
Japan had to pay for the chat and everything thing else. We get that FREE. The purchasable thing is the Origin Island which was DLC in Japan.

yes you get everything in the western release, nothing is cut out. it was the japan version that was lacking the content…

Fantasy Life will be released in the West with the online multiplayer feature enabled. Online multiplayer is part of the Fantasy Link Life expansion for the original Japanese release. That’s one important point that is left out of this article.
