UK Charts: Tomodachi Life Climbs To 7, Mario Kart 8 Moves Up To 21

This week’s UK charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart Track. Nintendo’s wacky life simulation game, Tomodachi Life, has climbed back into the individual top 10 after slipping slightly last week and now sits at number 7. It’s a similar story for Mario Kart 8 as well, as the popular racing title moves back up the chart, sitting at 21 from 24, just outside the top 20.

EA has an unsurprising victory this week with newly released The Sims 4. The simulation title finds itself jumping ahead of The Last of Us: Remastered Edition, taking the crown in the number one spot. And rounding out the bottom of the chart is Pokemon X, with no sign of its counterpart, Y, this week. You can check out the individual top 40 chart below.

      1. Exactly. Pointless, extremely casual. It is almost a mobile phone game. Still, it is fun to play. I wish it was a bit more like animal crossing.

  1. The Sims 4 doesn’t deserve to be in first position, let alone the entire to 40’s charts. I can’t believe I wasted money on that trash. It’s one of the most disappointing games I’ve ever played. They stripped away EVERYTHING that made Sims 3 fun, and added useless stuff in place

  2. I’ve never been a SIMS fan. I’ve played a few of them, and they always feel…….I don’t know, pointless I guess. Also silly and stupid.

  3. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

I really dislike the Sims, I think it really is the physical manifestation of paying for constant DLC

Every 2 minutes they ship out a new expansion pack that sometimes costs 50% of the actual game.

Seriously, it has 20 retail expansion packs, who the hell has money for that much DLC.

And then, after you buy them all, they just release the new Sims and basically makes you buy a crap ton of expansions like a ritual.

Though this is EA I suppose…

  4. Nintendo should sign an exclusive deal with the BBC to make the definitive Doctor Who game, that would get the UK game buying public interested.

    1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

I have never watched Doctor Who before, I am not into the whole Sci-Fi thing, but I hear it is really popular, getting a game for it on Nintendo consoles is a fantastic idea.

But instead, we get that BBC The Voice shit game.

      1. I have no idea what The Voice is, but it sounds awful. With NFC figures of all the characters the Doctor Who game could make a load of cash.

        1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

You’ve never heard of The Voice? Exactly, it is a singing show from BBC.
Why is it shit? BECAUSE WE DON’T CARE ABOUT IT!!!

Seriously, Activision idea of a wonderful game for Wii U owners is a shitty singing show, not even a good one but from a franchise most people never even heard of.

          We always get screwed

    1. Because UK is a fucking mainstream gamer hell with people only buying gory shooters or rehash sports games. Watch Dogs is no different. Greedy Ubisoft obviously doesn’t want to make anything original and make WD a mindless shooter hoping that it’ll sell off GTA success.

  5. They cut everything from the sims 4, so they can sale it back to you via patches and dlc later.

The ‘Voice’ is gonna flop hard. The Wii U is NOT the Wii. It is not a casual console. These third parties really must not have any type of intelligence/research departments at thier headquarters. They are so ignorant when it comes to the Wii U, and who owns one.

  6. Nintendo is doing good in Japan but western countries not so good…they lost 3 parties support because they lost the core gamer when Wii came out in 2006-2007…and I fucken hate the new 3ds c-stick so fucken small, smaller than the button..fix it you retard, just like when the game pad first came out it had no click in stick the hell…

    1. The nub stick looks perfect to me. Right above the letter buttons so you can easily slide your thumb off the nub back onto the buttons. You know Nintendo tested it to make sure it’s comfortable. They didn’t have much room to work with.

  7. Mario Kart 8-The biggest reason thus far to own a Wii U. I love Mario Kart 8 and I really don’t get the hate it recieves. Yes, the Battle Mode isn’t the best, but if played with the right people, it can be extremely fun. I play it every weekend with my older brother and we have a blast playing it. Try playing at least two player local multiplayer with computers on and you will have a good time as well, trust me………..

    1. Mariokart 8 is a good reason to own one. Honestly if the Wii U just had one game, (that game being xenoblade chronicles X) that would be enough reason for me to own a Wii U.

  8. Maybe the Legend of Zelda DLC at the end of November will get Mario Kart 8 to go back up to the top 10. Doubtful but it never hurts to hope.
